USCCA confirmed as bootlicker scum. Spread the word
U.S. LawShield, on the other hand, will defend their clients in Red Flag hearings.
diversify your firearms, move most of them to a friends or families home. Spred them out. I moved a couple out of state.
I understand the logic behind this and I've already considered it but there's still issues with this approach.
I'm trying to determine what happens to the firearms owned by another in the family when they come for your firearms?
Does anyone think LE is going to discern between your kid's shotgun and yours? Or your wife's target rifle and yours? I don't give a shit what's/who's in the warrant, they're going to clean house and empty safes and let the courts sort it out.
What happens when your offsite friend/family member gets served and your guns are in their safe? Your guns will go just as theirs does and then you have a super special shitshow because they'll tack on unsafe charges over the "illegal transfer" horsedickery.
To be completely sure, boating accidents are the only guarantee that your firearms don't end up outside of your possession.
what are the chances all your friends will be hit with ERPO? pretty slim, I would think.

It's written into NYS law that they have to take everything they see when serving an ERPO. It's also stated that the courts can authorize a search, which they're all but certain to do as a CYA measure. According to the actual text of the statute you must demonstrate lawful ownership if you wish to get back guns that were taken under someone else's ERPO. YOU, not the state, has the burden of proof according to the letter of the law (of course this is blatantly unconstitutional but that's just how NY rolls). I suspect very few of us have receipts for all our guns and even so, how would you legally ascertain ownership between members of a household? For instance, my wife and I use a joint CC account for the vast majority of our purchases and all our handguns are cross-registered. As a practical matter, I suspect entire households will routinely be deprived of their Second Amendment rights and lawfully owned property with very little due process for the target of the ERPO and zero due process for the other members of the household.
They're also mandated to return all the guns after the ERPO or Temporary ERPO expires. I'm sure some jurisdictions will be very good about this, some will need to get sued before they give guns back and maybe one or two will make proceedings drag on past the two year threshold, claim they are "nuisance" weapons and destroy them as directed under 400.05.
You can't get USCCA coverage in NY anyway.
USCCA fails to understand that ANYONE can initiate a Red Flag. Even if you piss off someone on Facebook, that could trigger a snowflake into calling in a ERPO.
Yeah those cowards dropped me for coverage as well. Turned tail and ran rather then spending the time to appeal and fight the "decree" by Cuomo.
Yeah, well fuck NY anyway. It's not like NY hasn't broken the law ever. But while I'm at it, fuck the NRA and NY both right in the goat ass. The two deserve each other. They are still fighting it. But how much $$ do you think any group can afford to spend against the Emperor?
The NRA caused this and NY responded because the NRA (and subsequently the others) did not have legal permission to sell "insurance" in this state. So abide by the original rules or GTFO.
That's all I got. They all broke the law to start with.
Im sure I will have to red flag my neighbor if his dog continues to chase my ducks and crap on my lawn. I see that as an act of aggression. he must be stopped!!!!

A lot of people think that there HAS TO BE some "evidence" that you are a danger to yourself or others, I disagree, I STRONGLY disagree. I believe anyone or their grandmother could call in a ERPO on anyone, kind of like anonymous Swatting.
diversify your firearms, move most of them to a friends or families home. Spred them out. I moved a couple out of state. This way, Emperor Cuomo can't take all your guns. Besides, once an ERPO goes through, you'll never be able to buy another gun as long as you live. You will go into the NICS system and never be removed, guaranteed
I emailed USCCA about buying CCW coverage and this is the response that I received.
