The Trump administration is considering a proposal that would use Google, Amazon and Apple to collect data on users who exhibit characteristics of mental illness that could lead to violent behavior, The Washington Post reported Thursday.

The proposal is part of an initiative to create a Health Advanced Research Projects Agency (HARPA), which would be located inside the Health and Human Services Department, the report notes, citing sources inside the administration. The new agency would have a separate budget and the president would be responsible for appointing its director
HARPA would develop “breakthrough technologies with high specificity and sensitivity for early diagnosis of neuropsychiatric violence,” according to a copy of the proposal. “A multi-modality solution, along with real-time data analytics, is needed to achieve such an accurate diagnosis.”

Clips from Zao featuring ordinary people replacing Hugh Jackman in “The Wolverine,” Leonardo DiCaprio in “Titanic” and Kit Harington in “Game of Thrones” have flooded Chinese social media in recent days.

The app is now at the center of a debate about personal data privacy in China that erupted after users discovered playing with Zao required signing away “irrevocable, permanent, transferable” rights over their content.

I think they need to make "Animal Farm" a requirement in elementary school for the cartoon, then again in high school for the book. Maybe we would have fewer socialists.

Honestly they should replace a year of "global studies" with "dystopian studies". It would be a lot more beneficial for kids to be able to recognize actual fascists than know about marriage customs of Kenya.

Oh, they're listening all right. If you pack a smart phone, even when not in use they got you. The only way to stop them is take out the battery of leave them behind when you wish to talk freely.

Unfortunately there's only a few smart phones that you can still remove the battery, and they aren't sold at your usual cellular stores. If I didn't use the computer like capabilities of my phone daily I would have a dumb phone.
I'm still holding out for Linux to refine their phone software then I'll be flashing my phone.
