They have been calling me constantly. Earlier today I finally told the girl that while I was dubious of her capacity to relay a message for me I nonetheless wanted it known that I have been very displeased with the NRA lately and of the money grubbing, disingenuous behavior of Wayne Lapiere in particular. I told the lady I was suspending my support of the NRA in favor of other 2A advocacy groups and that this state of affairs would remain for as long as Lapiere remained in control of the NRA. I also mentioned how utterly appalled I was for the NRA getting the ball rolling on this bump fire legislation.

I'm not 100% sure of this, but I believe those phone solicitors are paid. In other words, they don't care about our responses other than the contributions they garner. Their skin in the game amounts to a paycheck.

In other words, you can bet the ranch you're still on their call list and you will still receive their timely please fund Wayne's $900,000 salary phone call.

Same. They've been calling me multiple times a day. I don't mind giving them money if they do the right thing, but I feel like the money I've given them has gone to waste. I feel as though I've given money to a Nigerian scammer, and they won't stop bothering me ever.

I only have a cell phone (no landline), so I'm fortunate to have Caller ID. If I don't recognize a non-local number (and even a local one sometimes) I let it go to voicemail. I used to be an NRA member (when I first got into shooting), but let the membership lapse when SAFE was rammed up our rear. Since then I've continued to get phone calls and mailings. Finally, the other day I found a 'Contact Us' page on the NRA site and asked them to remove me from all mailing and calling lists. Not so much because of the bump-fire stock thing, but I was just tiring of shredding so much stuff. And it's a waste of postage on their end. Surprisingly they responded within a day saying all set; I didn't even have to call.

On a related note, has anyone ever heard of ANYone winning those multi-gun giveaways that NRA does? I've search online before and never found a case. Obviously not every gun owner is online, but you'd think someone would know SOMEONE who won.

And you know who else is on the Board at the NRA? Tom King. You know, the asshole who sold us up the river when the SAFE Act was passed. The asshole who did NOTHING while our rights were being stripped away. The asshole who stood up in front of God and Country and said "Ladies and gentlemen, we were lied to."

I guess I was right. Usually, I get two calls a day (on caller ID) from the NRA, haven't had a single call since that last conversation? weird

I did the same thing a few months ago. NRA guy called to offer me an extension on my dues. Told him that the NRA has done nothing for NY since the SAFE act, brought up the blended learning program for NRA instructors and how it killed my training business, etc. And I wasn't giving them a dime anymore. I haven't heard from anyone since.

Uncle Ted? Like Ted Nugent? He's another sell out. Mr. 2nd Ammendment my ass.
Back on the old forum around the time of the SAFE ACT, Ted was getting paid from a company here in Buffalo for using his image on their ammo boxes. The company, Pierce Ammo, was giving money to Cuomo's campaign fund.
People were posting on Ted's Facebook page about how could he take money from this company when they're giving donations to an anti 2A politician.
Those negative posts were promptly removed from his Facebook page.

I have had the same conversation with reps from the NRA when they call me. I said i will start my membership up again when they put boots on the ground in NY. I told them I would rather support my local SCOPE chapter that gives a crap about the rights of NYer's.
