after loosing a friend and an Uncle to drunk drivers,
I dont have an issue with this!
How about if you drink anything, dont drive!

I drink, but NEVER drive if i have had anything.

I take the LIRR home, they serve alcohol on the train platforms, Penn Station, etc. , upon reaching their destination, 99% of the riders get in a car, and drive home from the parking lot, never understood this. I see the same dude, everyday, coming home 2 fisting it with 2 Bud Tall Boys. 32 oz of beer, quite a buzz, no ?

Enough is enough, It should be left to an officers discretion . If an officer pulls you over tests you and feels that your ok to drive , Im good with that, if he feels your a danger than he can take your keys or arrest you . In a free society your always going to have some risks involved. Do you know where there is no drunk driving accidents or gunfights ? Its called jail . I don't want to live in jail to be safe. I don't want to live in a perfect zero tolerance world . You wonder why people get an attitude towards cops, because laws like this will throw a lot of people who had a half a beer in jail. . fuck that Nazi shit.

except police don't even need to give you a breathalyzer or roadside test anymore. If a cop THINKS you have been drinking, he can arrest you. Don't even think about telling me it can't happen. it happened to my brother-in-law in Arizona.

There's a huge difference between ""can arrest"" ""and must arrest"" I don't know what the state laws in AZ are but Ill take your word on it. Im only proposing a way that a person in the field can make the call to arrest, or not arrest, based on his assessment of the situation , as opposed to a mandatory arrest . You take into consideration the "'sprit"" of the law, and what the law is trying to accomplish. In my opinion, its public safety in this case.
