Check out these Vietnam m-16 (actually in laos! Go figure)

Anyway, the last 3 were behind glass so I could not get better pictures. Notice the one made in Mass. i do not think it is a colt but i could not see it very well.

If you look a little closer, underneath you'll also see it is marked as an XM-16 E1; there's a serial number there as well- anyone feel like sleuthing down its history?

Nope lots of "manufacturers" convert ar15s into select fire but its still an ar15

Technically the M16 was the first militarized version of the AR15.

The AR came first, so it's the M16 that's the variant, not the other way around. And technically they are both small caliber variants of the AR10 that preceeded then.

The XM16E1 models are pretty rare and valuable. One sold for $150K recently. In the US and legal, of course.
