It could have said, "A well regulated acrobat, being necessary to a fun circus, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." and it still would give that power to the people.

And it was already established what well regulated means. (In working order) And militia has already been established what it consisted of. And who the people are has also been established.

Another realistic possibility is that Premise permits might become shall issue and can travel under FOPA.

It’s slow but see what the court will do.

I also think another challenge should be the need for a handgun permit to shoot at a range.

The real question is, what if Hillary had won (or someone like her wins in the future), and she got to replace a couple conservative justices and pass some draconian laws. Does that mean that you think UK style gun control in the US would pass muster under the constitution ?

Does the the meaning of the 2A change every election ? Every time a new justice is appointed to SCOTUS ?

At *some* point in the future is it a certainty that a true tyrant *will* come to power in the US, and *will* get a SCOTUS and legislature that will completely defer to them. May not happen in our lifetime, but it *will* happen eventually. Either the 2A absolutely prohibits some activity by the government regardless of what they claim, or it doesn't mean much at all.

Go look at all of the SCOTUS rulings on gun control so far. It’s not many . And most have been favorable to law abiding citizens having the right to own a gun.

Go look at the other second admendment decisions such as their stun gun decision.

The court hasn’t given the slam dunk wanted by many but that question of CCW /open carry has yet to be taken up by the court since Heller.

As far as NYS Sullivan laws, I don’t agree with the “good cause” standard as opposed to “shall issue” standard like what is done in Utah and many other places.

The author of that article is misrepresenting some of those laws.

A militia call up with a gun inspection is not a gun registration. They assumed he had at least one gun to meet his militia requirements but didn’t ask for how many they owned.

The author is claiming that a armed uprising would be treason so the 2nd couldn’t be there to be against tyranny. He is wrong.

His logic is a little off on other parts
