Firing a guy for doing his job...enforcing the law. Kind of like a few years back when everyone got up in arms about the Ulster County Sheriffs Department checking for outstanding warrants for people who were looking to collect social services. It just seems like common sense to me.
Maybe this guy (the illegal) wasn't a "bad guy" but he still broke the law. If he wants to immigrate to this country do so legally!
So this seems to do a decent job explaining the difference that these municipalities are exploiting to protect illegal aliens. Federal law needs to be updated to give unlawful presence, failing to show for deportation hearings and other violations some teeth and enforce-ability.
The Fairfax County Police Department enacted a 2007 policy that prohibits officers from confirming a person's immigration status and detaining them solely based on civil violations of immigration law.
The cop didn't violate their bullshit policy. The illegal didn't have a license but was driving. He ran his info based on that and then found out he already skipped a hearing. The residents there should either call for the chiefs resignation or tell him that they won't follow any laws since the dept is ok with people that violate the law.
Why is not the Federal government not prosecuting state agencies and personnel that are flagrantly violating the law? Why are we tolerating it? Why are we not burning everything democrat and "progressive" to the ground? Why are we not forming and mobilizing the militia to enforce constitutional law and to remove barriers to such action? Why are sympathetic government agencies and actors not supporting and calling for such? Why are we not now fighting the second Civil War?
The democrats and "progressives" will not be stopped peaceably.
