7:45 this morning I’m getting in the shower when the wife comes in all freaked out and tells me the ATF is outside and wants to talk to me. Yay! Kids still home because of two hour delay also. First thing I thought of was what the fuck has @Eddie Gunks got me involved with this time.
Wife made them wait outside (-5 degrees lol) till I got out of the shower and changed into my comfy prison lounging outfit in case I’m arrested. I head outside and there’s 2 chicks and a dude in 2 blacked out vehicles. I’m ready for some pushback but they were all very pleasant and professional.
So they ask me about a Ruger .22 that I had bought in the past and tell them they are going to have to be way more specific. They laughed! They showed me a pic of the rifle and I was like oh that one. Ruger SR22 rife. They wanted to know where it went to after I had it. They had my 4473 from the purchase in 2011. Wasn’t too worried because it was pre SAFE Act and private sales were legal.
The best part is I used it as a partial trade at the FFL I got it from a couple months after I originally got it. Worse groups I have ever seen. He lost his license and almost went to jail for missing guns and bad bookkeeping years ago. Can’t even own guns as part of his deal with ATF. Totally scatter brained and everyone knew about it.
So he pretty much never logged it back into his book when I brought it back and the find it at a crime scene or arrested someone that had it. Whoever had it put a spur grip on to make it compliant.
I’m not going to mention names of agents or FFL so don’t ask.

No she doesn’t have any sisters but I think her one brother might be half queer.
