Dr. Evil
20×102mm Vulcan
As I mentioned in the training section I did another pistol class with OSFT. In doing so I learned some very valuable information. I need to carry the biggest gun that fits my hand and is concealable. I have been shooting the G43X MOS and although have improved a bit there is a bigger learning curve for someone like myself that hasn't shot enough using a smaller gun.
During the class Ben had me shoot Rachel's gun, the Walther and I had noticeable improvement. Now, I'm sure with enough practice I would become proficient with the G43X but I figured why not shoot with the pistol I shot best out of the gate so to speak. So, I was able to track down the pistol online as nobody locally had one yet since it is fairly new.
Yes, the "F" stands for female but this is really a gun for people with smaller hands. I couldn't believe how well it shot and how good it felt. Now I just have to locate Walther PDP Compact 10 round mags because the gun is shipped to the FFL with two 15 rounders. It's good that the PDP mags will work in the PDP F Series platform. So far everywhere I checked is OOS. I figured by the time Ulster county graces me with amending my permit (almost 8 weeks for the Glock) I hopefully should be able to track some mags down.
I trust Ben and Rachel. They are way more experienced than I am. They are way better shooters than I am. It also was beyond helpful to shoot the actual gun and compare it to mine. It was between this and a G19 Gen5 (similar size but the Walther fits my hand better in so many ways) since I also shot someone's in the class that night. I'm sure I made the right decision this time. Not sure if I will keep the Glock and add a Holosun to the Walther or just move the Holosun over and sell the Glock. The store gave me a discount code for 10% which was nice and I was able to get 15% off the JM Custom Kydex holster I ordered for it too. Now, as before, the waiting begins.
