personally owned does not give you carte blanche to have something unprofessional like YOU’RE FUCKED on a duty rifle. Would you get PUSSY WAGON emblazoned across the windshield of a company car?

Only if you were in the wagon.
Unprofessional.
I have them on my personal guns. They are not and should never be allowed on mine or any other cop's duty weapons.
This is a result of cheap ass departments/municipalities that refuse to supply cops with their required equipment.
You'd be surprised how common it is for a cop to supply all of their equipment. The reason this is stupid is liability, not cost for the individual. Most would jump at the chance to buy their own equipment without restrictions. There's a valid reason why departments like mine don't allow it.
Nazi!I'm evil. That last paragraph made me LOL.

Yes I do think they are comparable. The attorney's will throw any and all crap at the wall trying to make you look evil. What if you had a German flag on your Volkswagen does that make it worse?Ok do you really think this is a comparable senario ?
"Let's look at a comparable scenario. You run over a Jewish kid that walked in the road because he was looking at his cell phone. Would you be surprised if the prosecuting attorney tried to argue because you were driving a Volkswagen it was racially motivated killing? I know I would be surprised and I don't think it would sway the jury either."
I would first have to ask why the Jewish kid was looking at his phone , and then I would be asking was the Volkswagen traveling in a western direction, or a south western direction. if it was heading east well thats an entirely different story there

Oh yes they have but they have also admitted that there isn't one case of this actually happening. It's all speculation at this point and the "safest legal option" is everything you pointed out above. If this was such a slam dunk for the prosecution then we would have a case to point out already. The good/bad part is we will have a test case soon enough because customization of carry guns is become more and more popular.Serious response time: Oh yes indeed. Especially when you use a firearm in self-defense.
Are you wearing a "Punisher" shirt or have a Punisher imprint on your handgun? Do you use factory loads or hand loads? It could be brought up that you are making the bullets "extra lethal" by handloading. (I know, rolleyes)
Massad Ayoob and others have gone into detail about this.
Ain't nothing different than the 70s Vietnam shirts that said "Kill em all and let god sort them out" or the paintings of scary smile faces ready to destroy you on those bigass bombs in your military today..
My buddy is a LEO in FL.
He sent me pics of his duty Glock and AR. Both
Purchased and maintained by him. Reviewed and approved by department.
Hopefully they ban them from customizing.
Watch it Doc.I'm evil. That last paragraph made me LOL.
