Just a heads up I got my 6th pistol and I was wondering about the home visit so I called the PP office and they told

me to sign an affidavit and send pictures of my safe to them, so in the current climate they are not doing home inspections

just wanted to let people know , I received my coupon within 4/5 weeks .the affidavit has to be notarized .

Thats fucking absurd, nearly 2 months! My worst wait was just over 8 weeks, no excuse for that kind of wait when you already have a permit.

I mailed mine in yesterday, ill keep an eye on my bank account for when the check gets cashed.

Its just absurd that when you have a permit already that they make you do this waiting process first where some counties you can pick it up right away and file paperwork after.

FYI to anyone interested - Im 7 weeks in on my last amendment, still waiting. its getting crazy here - i remember when it was 2 weeks.

So here is my experience with adding 5th handgun. Not quick like walking into a store and buying it but definitely better than I expected.

4/7/22 - Amendment sent.
4/15/22 - Check cashed
4/20/22 - Got a call for FFL receipt. I stupidly attached out of state gun shop receipt instead if FFL from NY. Called my FFL who faxed over required documents right then.
5/2/22 - Judge signed off
5/4/22 - Letter mailed
5/7/22 - Amendment in hand; Now got to go pick up the gun this week

This was in Lower Westchester for 5th handgun. No inspection or photo of safe requested.

I tried to renew far before my due date in early 2023.

I got a form letter with my unprocessed application back in 5 days.
