That is clearly an unconstitutional, biased ruling by the NYS Supreme Court.
It goes against Murdock vs. Penn and Maybury vs. Madison.
Our current Supreme Court won't touch it because they are bought too.

We've been through this before. That was a bad ruling and a bad ruling doesn't negate what the founding fathers intended. It was skewed. 20 years from now if they rule that the 2A is only for active members of the militia, will that be what the founders intended?

I think Westchester County eliminated the Sportsperson Restriction.
I was at one of Ben's Onsight Firearm Classes at Blue Mountain
yesterday and one of his regulars mentioned this.
I checked their website and they removed the amendment
for it and also removed mention of it in their pistol manual.
I guess George Latimer is on a mission.
First the Westchester County Center gun shows, now this.
Whats Next ?

Why is it a good thing ?
It eliminates some freedoms of carrying your gun.
Sportsperson allowed you to carry legally while doing many different activities.
Target, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, etc.
Now for a civilian trying to get a permit they will have to choose between target or hunting.
Maybe they will be allowed to have multiple endorsements, we will see.

again but George Latimer but the kabash on soon as he took office.

I really want to move out of Westchester.
My real estate taxes are more than what some people earn.
My kids are long out of the school system so there is no reason for me to stay in this county.

I tried twice and was denied twice because I did not demonstrate any special need that above the average citizen. The only way to do that is with documented threats against your life, orders of protection or, restraining orders against others for my own safety.
But some people do get it, and it only cost $3 if I remember correctly. And the worst they can do is say no.

I could of gotten a NYC full carry when I lived in the Bronx many moons ago.
