Westchester Permit Renewal - How long?

Has anybody renewed their Westchester Pistol Permit? If so, how long did it take to process?

My $10 check was cashed by the county over 5 weeks ago, but I haven't received anything yet.

I dropped off my NYS pistol renewal on Tuesday February 6th, 9 weeks ago.
I'm still waiting. If I don't see it in tomorrows mail, I will stop there.
When I dropped off the renewal the clerk told me I would get it before it expired which is May 13th.
I hope not, that would be 14 weeks.

Yes. They mail out the form probably 3 months b4.

I received my handgun license renewal in the mail today.
Do you think they could sit on it any longer, 10 weeks and 1 day.
Next week I'll be adding a handgun.
Lets see how long this will take.

Unfortunately I have to get another passport photo for them.

Since it was taking so long I fantasized that I was being upgraded from Sportsperson to Full Carry.

Now that my renewal is done. I can proceed with my plans to apply for unrestricted. I've already got an attorney lined up for when I'm denied.

I editted my post you quoted as a reminder that they denied me twice in spite of my clean record, credentials, and certs. The judge's quoted the "good cause" requirement.

I plan to apply again, but i expect the same result. Not that i care so much, but the extra peace of mind would be nice.

That's why I've already composed a well-referenced letter and have an attorney in mind.
