They say it because that’s what the bobble heads keep telling them. Contributing to society should include being able to live and eat. Parasitic contribution relies on someone else.

I was in a Communist country a long time ago. Clean orderly and a person on each corner with a state provided broom to keep it that way. For their contribution they get a small apartment, food vouchers. If they didn’t, they didn’t. Went back after their fall. Trash everywhere, grass at waist level. Subsidy without contribution creates reliance. Disabled ? Plenty of phone centers IN THE US who need you. Hard times? Plenty of volunteer agencies who can use you. Perhaps contribution credit (merit based) should be more of a thing. Everyone has something to contribute.

The Free Shit Army comes in all colors and sizes. It's just some areas have more Free Shit Army and are more feral than others.

I'm not going to do anything with the dog kennel though, no threatening alarm clocks set for 6 am or anything like that. The kennel has already had a remote gait opener for quite some time now.
2 of my 3 dogs are not the friendly type, the one, "Rocky," is like a 12-gauge with the safety off.

Meh, I don't expect any trouble at all here in the swamps. I live where I do for a reason.

Other than in the big blue Democrat controlled cities shitholes, I don't see the rural - semi rural Free Shit Army getting out of control or being much of an issue.

I couldn't imagine relying on the Government to feed me. That just seems like a really bad idea.

I consider my alarm clock and work boots important tools, and the boots I wear when killing deer, which in turn goes in the freezer. Plus all the stuff that I've stocked up on in case of bad times. Did I mention I own chickens? All of that is what I consider food security. IMHO

I'm just saying.

The FSA is doing it all wrong, better them than me. I have food security.
It doesn't come easily, it's work, but it's very much worth it I think.

EDIT: I forgot to mention my garden and the 3 apple trees out back. Doh!

I don't necessarily have much of a problem with the truly disabled and or the elderly having a so-called safety net as long as they are American citizens. They may have paid into the system for decades themselves. And now it might be their turn to benefit from that if need be.

But I do have a problem with you know the thing.

I'm not a sports guy, but I am a current events guy. And this is sort of stuff is like the playoffs to me.

Will the Free Shit Army carry out their threats of acquiring their FREE food no matter what?

I find it ironic that the Free Shit Army is threatening the very same people who actually feed them. Them being the productive taxpayer.

It's going to be an interesting week coming up. I bought some extra popcorn in anticipation of watching some videos of the FSA shitheads burning down their own neighborhoods. Again. Doh!

They're not the smartest bunch of people, that's for sure. I mean, who else makes a habit of burning down their own neighborhood?

If the New York State Government is going to constantly ban things as they do. I think bus routes should be included with all of the other bans. It would be the best for everyone, well, maybe not for the FSA, but for most people, it would be a good thing.
