What did you do in the reloading room today?

Kind of a crappy weekend.
Bored so I'm decapping fired 38spl cases.


I need to reorganize the small reloading room and build a shelf for my empty case containers, bullet containers and something to store the powder in. I have around 22 one pound containers of gun powder.

Loaded a bunch of 9mm and tumbled about a 1000 cases.

Loaded up 50 rounds of 44 special wad cutters.

I have the 38 cases I deprimed in the tumbler. I use the Lee recapping die, tumble, resize, flare then prime, powder and set bullet.

I can recap and resize in one step, but like the extra time upstairs in my little gun room.
Sometimes I'll have a few Bud' when I do the steps up to the priming, powder & bullet.

I want to get a small dorm refridgorater up here for coke & beer.
Wallyworld had one with a grease board on the door to write notes, I want one of them to write things I need or other stuff.

I'm also putting labels on my storage containers with my Dymo Label Maker.

I just got home early, brought home a 30 pack of Budweiser, put eight in ice, the rest in the fridge with the ten cold ones on these, turned on my Lyman tumbler with 40 caliber and 357 magnum brass and waiting for 5 o clock to start celebrating the eve of our independence for liberal England.

I'm jealous my reloading stuff is still in pieces. I was walking around the basement of the new house Sunday trying to determine where the gun room would go. Because the reloading bench will go along one of the public side walls.

Just in case, I Loaded 50 more rounds each of 50 Bmg 700 grn FMJ and 44 mag 240 grn HP's while listening to the Yankee game.

I ordered 500 Hornady 30cal 150gr FMJ bullets from the Bullet Guy

I need to stock up on 38 caliber projectiles, I just bought 500 Rainer 158 grain hollow points, I loaded 100 bullets up for my grandson and 275 up for myself. I need to load another 100 up for my grandson and I'll be about out.

It sure is fun watching him shoot the larger revolvers.

I deprimed about 700 pieced of 357 magnm brass and tumbled it in walnut hulls for 45 minutes or so. I will tumble it a little longer tomorrow.

I had to pull down approx. 100 rds. of factory 44 Magnum because they don't shoot well in my Taurus M44. They shoot waaaaayyy to the left. They don't obturate thru my gun. The cylinder throats are .430 and the factory ammo is .429 or 4285. My barrel was slugged at approx. .429 or a little less.

My Hornady XTP .430 and Missouri bullets .430 shoot freaking awesome out of my gun. Lesson learned about factory ammo for this particular gun.

People who don't reload probably would of got rid of that gun saying it was a piece of shit.

The good thing about that factory ammo you bought, you will have some New and some once fired brass.

If it were me I'd shoot it just to use them up.

I'm loading some watered down 357 magnum loads for my grandson to shoot Sunday and then I will be loading up some 7mm TCU cartridges to fire form s on Sunday as well.

Today I surveyed all of the brass that I have to reload by Thursday. I really need a helper monkey.

Found a solution to my Sh:*tty little monkey problem. FYI duct tape sticks really well to fur.
Should be able to finish this evening, last 150 in the polisher

I have one, that is tonight's option. I bought the the drill bit and 1/4" - 20 tap last summer. I use a washer and socket to pull the case out.

1/4" - 20 tap a 9/16" socket, a 1/2" nut, a 1/4" flat washer and a 1/4" bolt with a socket wrench and stuck case is history.






I also separated the little bit of range brass we picked up Sunday evening after target practice at the sand & gravel pit.
