What isn't political these days?

That is true but also think what each of us can do about it to make our days better.
Dont Luke it? Ignore it . I dont care about 99% of what is outthere in terms of commercials, fake news, SM, trolls etc ...
So it all depends on what perspective we want to adopt when we start our day.
Yes political drama is going to be there and it sells like a bad soap opera.
The question is what type of occupation or thoughts we want to dominate our minds through the day?
It doesnt mean we should not worry or participate in politics.
IMO the mind is like a car engine and our perspective and thoughts are like gas.
One should pour that gas very slowly and carefully wo spilling at the risk of starting a fire and burning the car down.

A forum website it's largely what it's members make it. So, you don't like where the forum is at, then do something (right) about it.

Hex, thank you for taking the time to write what you did.... most excellent. IMO, this is a well run Forum. The software is great, the server is strong enough to handle to amount of users, the content is WHAT WE THE USERS make it. The OPs of threads (not the the forum staff) IMO have the obligation to be the ones who steer their threads in the direction they intended for the subject they are posting about. That is not hard to do really at all.

I have learned a ton about guns here, this IS A GUN FORUMN. One that has people passionate about LIFE! You cannot separate politics from life - it is life - or the determining factor as quality of said.

Five (that I have discovered so far) of my great grandfathers fought in the Revolutionary War (one died in it). One of my cousins was one of the 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence. Shame on me it I do not fight to keep this land free as they sacrificed so much to make it happen! I am glad we have a bunch of passionate users here who feel the same!

Correct, not to turn this thread in such a discussion but we win of 80% of us show up to vote. But the talk is where you learn on who to vote for. I am a Republican Committeeman (the treasurer of), I vote, I have a say in who runs even. My Town is run buy not one single dirty D, fought hard to make that happen.

I have been thinking about this thread for a few days, I spoke with another forum member early today on the phone...

One thing that I see wrong with this forum is not so much the forum, the owners, the set up or the mods, there are some issues there, but very small ones... Sorry, no one is perfect.

The thing I see wrong at times is with the members, not all, but enough. I am in this group at times myself.

We have some members that really know their shit on a topic. I, like many, have some really strong knowledge and insight on a few subjects. Those topics, I love to discuss. May sound a bit arrogant, but I am usually right. I research and I look most of the stuff up prior to posting. I am not an expert in anything, but, I have a lot to share. I never knowingly post false information. Lots of opinions, but never intentional false information. Some really know medical stuff. We are lucky to have some members that have great gun know how. I am a shitty hunter so in most hunting threads, I keep my points to a bare minimum. I do not fish, I cannot tell one fish from another. I never post about fishing.

The conversations that are going on these past few months on Russia really got the two of us talking on the phone today. We have a few that have some here that know the Russia thing very well, members like @Mosinitis , don't always need to agree with him, he has his bias on the Motherland, but I see people verbally attacking him for his insight and opinions. Got news for all that are reading, opinions are never wrong. They cannot be because they are, opinions.

During the Covid hoax, we had many insightful posts form people that really, really know their stuff. @meketrefe comes to mind as does @Dr. Evil . Sometimes they would give and post factual articles and conversations they have had with really smart people and they would be scoffed at for their postings. We have people from all walks of life here, I learn something regularly here due to all of the knowledge shared, and shared for free. Too many allow their feelings to get the best of them, calling people out for the facts they post just because agreement cannot be found.

Discuss, be nasty at times, we all have thick skin, but sometimes the nastiness gets much to out of hand and personal.

The forum is fine. I like the fact that people can call you out on a post. I dont see that as trolling I see it as engagement. A lot of times Ive had to change my position on something due to how other posters viewed the same thing. Ive learned from it . If my post is inaccurate I would expect someone to say something. Sometimes they point it out . and I have to reconsider my position.or admit I made a mistake. Sometimes I just dont agree.

What happens on here is true debate. Its unique, and I appreciate the platform to discuss my views and current events . Its winter time, A lot of guys dont shoot as much , the gun threads slow down . I spend a lot of time on the law and politics because its named law and politics thats what its about . I enjoy reading posts and new sources from other places I was'nt aware of . I get better news on here than I do on TV.

I consider a troll post to be someone who adds nothing while being insulting. I dont see a lot of those . Insulting maybe, but withen the bounds of the discussion.

Things get heated up, insults are exchanged, but Were all big kids now, This isnt a sewing forum, Lots of vets and LEO's who are accustomed to locker room talk.

I like the openess of the forum , real trolls dont stick around long anyway
