So what firearm related item have you purchased on a spur of the moment that was a completely stupid idea?

Mine is buying 2000 5.56 links when Im pretty sure I will never own a SAW. It was a "oh cool, machine gun links" purchase that I then said "that was stupid"

At least the 222 rem I bought accidentally thinking they were 223 fit

A certain ineffective retention device. Waste of money. Would be a liability to use. Otherwise, I feel pretty good about my buys.

almost every holster I ever bought. most were good for about 24 hours, then they all got put in a can and either gave away or trashed.

The only one I really like is the cowboy holster I bought for the 44mag, and the Holster vest I bought from ConcelCarry, I bought that 20 years ago, I still have it and use it for my EDC

Keltec sub2000 ... Looked good but is a total pos.

300 Whisper Before the nane was bought and renamed blackout for the sales and marketing campaigns. Even as subsonic round as originally designed the rifle was very temperamental and consistency and power has never been there no matter how one reloads this round.

22LR ISSC pistol. A jammomatic.

Chiappa Rhino...looked cool as heck, but was horrible to shoot and the trigger was godawful mush. The cylinder was quite loose too. My gun dealer said it's pronounced "Cheap-pa" and I agreed it lived up to it's name.

Back in the mid 80’s I bought A short barreled ( 24” ) single shot 10ga. I cut a 4” sapling down with one shot with that thing but it damn near tore my shoulder off !
I traded it and $100 for an excellent condition Marlin lever action in .35 rem at the Syracuse gun show.

When I first got my permit I bought a few guns including a walther .22 which I thought my ten year old would enjoy. He did 2x then started shooting my 9 and 45. Its been in the safe for over 10 years.

when I first got my permit I bought a couple Colt Derringer 22 shorts.....sequential serial number...ooooh big woop......in the safe they sit... I should get rid of them....at this point.

IN my newbie status I thought they were dueling pistols at the time...........
