And I’ll be that guy-concealed is concealed.
That is, of course, the intent.
Even in NY what if you're carrying and out for the day doing whatever and your kid calls from school saying they are sick and need to be picked up. What do you do? You literally cannot drive onto school grounds and even pick them up without breaking the law. Pull over somewhere and put the gun in the bushes a couple hundred yards before you get to the school?
three options.
Park your car just off the school property
Or make the gun inoperable, hide it in the car and take your chances.
Take the extra time to drive home first.
All three options suck
I meant legal options.option 4, keep it concealed, go get your kid and go home.
option 5, I have a gun safe through bolted to the floor of my truck. lock it in there and cover it up. Go get your kid.
the only time any of this becomes an issue is if you need to use your firearm.
I meant legal options.
Bolted to the truck safe and parked on school property may or may not be a violation of the school gun laws.
These laws need to be changed or get administrators who will give written permission
That is, of course, the intent.

A friend of mine has a code word with his kids ( such as code blue ) and they know were to meet him just off the school grounds.
That's all well and good for a middle or HS age kid. But elementary school kids aren't going to be allowed to just wander off campus unescorted.
