If the family isn't the biggest shareholder, things are going to be fun at the next shareholder meeting.

There are none that’s why. This is just publicity. Why would they sit on them this long.

If the truth were known ... They shipped all the inventory back except a token few. Now they go nationwide with this stunt ...Every news organization in the country will report on it..... Millions of Dollars of feel good advertising aimed at the soccer mom crowd ... for free... .... They are making out bandits ....

I just heard that Field and Stream will not sell semi-automatic rifles such as M1A's. How about all their semi-auto pistols and shotguns?
I have to check that out.

I have to wonder if they can't legally return the firearms to the manufacturer. This would make the only choices sell, give away, or destroy. Maybe an FFL on the board could clarify whether they can return them. If they can't return them, it's just publicity. In that case, the story would be more accurate if it stated 'Because we can't legally return them, we're destroying them'. A statement like that would make them look less 'humanitarian'.

Just last week I walked into my local dicks looking to kill some time. They had what looked suspiciously like a pair of ar10 rifles on display. Unfortunately my wife called to be picked up before I could ask to see either of them, so they could have been bolt action or something. The counter guy looked pretty haggard, I don't imagine he is loving his job about now so I didn't really hassle him to much.

A$$holes likely think they can just jack up the price on their made in Vietnam and made in China merchandise to recoup their margins and hope their customer base doesn't do price comparisons versus Wallyworld or tax' alon Amazon.
