Where does everyone carry, and why? I tend to stick with 3-4 o'clock (right hip) if my clothes allow it, but sometimes during the warmer months, I go to the pocket.

Basically my hip, at 4 o'clock though.
Same as Airborneguy. I'd love to appendix carry, but I'm too big to do it. Maybe next year. I've dropped about 18 pounds in the past 6 months, but I've got a bunch more before I'll be able to.

I used to carry 4:00, but it still never looked right, always stuck out. A little less so with different holsters, but still not enough where I feel like I'm not printing.
I've started carrying on the small of my back. It's 100% comfortable and I know it's there, but nobody else does.

Remember a couple things with that...
1. If you fall on your back and land square, you're going to be in for a world of hurt. It's not common, but if you slip and fall on the ice, it could be trouble.
2. Presentation of the firearm will be more difficult. You can't just casually pull up your shirt with your off hand. You really have to pull up as hard as you can. Because of this, drawing can be more difficult.
3. Drawing will be more obvious and slower.
It's not too difficult to overcome these issues, just be aware of them. You're better off carrying there than leaving the pistol at home like I frequently do.

Since I am in Suffolk, the all great and powerful don't allow me to carry except to/from the range so its not an every day thing for me.... but when I do carry:

Winter - Appendix or 3:30 depending on what I am carrying (I like to go full size in the winter).

Everyone will blast me for this, but I carry in a shoulder rig.
If I am wearing shorts, I usually carry at about 4 o'clock inside the waste.
If I am wearing pants, usually the same position, just OWB.
For me, it all depends on the cloths of the day. I have multiple carry guns for different attire.

I can tell if I'm printing.
I can draw if seated in a vehicle.
Nobody that notices it can disarm me from behind while standing in a line or a crowded place.
I can keep my hand near it without giving my intentions away if I feel I may need to draw.

Depends on what I am carrying. I have several holsters that place my handgun at either 6,7,8 or 9 OWB.

me too. I have a "miami rig" but my FAVORITE carry is in a Conceal carry vest. you can't tell you're carrying a firearm at all with this vest on

The problem with shoulder carry is that sometimes it gets hot wearing something to conceal it. People also have shot me looks like "why is he wearing that on such a hot day". I really would like to upgrade to a leather rig as the old uncle mikes or whatever it is can get painful after a long day. I don't like waist carry, and don't have the body shape for it(I'm fat). Used to carry small of the back until someone grabbed it in a checkout line at a department store. The person was not ill intentioned and did not know it was there, rather she was an ARC resident and her handler had absolutely no control over her charge.

I'm at 4:00 with an M&P Shield in a N82 holster for the past couple years. It's so comfy that I've actually had panic moments where I double check just to be sure that it's still there. Main reason for that spot is it conceals easily under a t-shirt and I can access it quite readily.
4 or 8 o'clock OWB for my SP101 .357, and pocket carry or ankle holster for my Shield 45 most of the time. In colder weather, I rotate some larger caliber ones in a coat pocket. Pockets on my Carhartt are perfect.
When driving, I usually take one and put it in a quick access holster mounted alongside my seat.

I need to start doing that last bit. If I get pinned against my seat by someone bigger (always a potential), I'm screwed.

If I've got the Shield it's iwb and just forward of 3 o'clock. The 17 goes owb at 4.

I typically drive a minivan with bucket seats, with a flip up / down center tray. If the tray is up, my gun is concealed from view. A quick hand grab, and if folds down against the passenger seat.
My generic nylon holster is fastened along the base of my seat, right where my hand drops. Good to go if needed...

Appendix most the time , iwb at 4 occasionally. I prefer appendix but longer guns tend to dig into my thigh. I like appendix, with the right setup it's more secure ,comfortable, easier to hide, faster to draw and I feel it's more secure and harder for someone to grab it.

I tried that until I got my first holster. It's an interesting feeling for sure.
