Does anybody have a definitive answer on whether or not "fake muzzle devices" are legal if pinned and welded like the ones from NGP?

A fake muzzle device isn't a silencer, flash suppressor, or a muzzle brake. That's about the best you are going to get. There isn't anything in the law that says fake anythings are legal.

Right but there is that debate over how the law makes a "threaded barrel" itself illegal. If you cut the thread protector off, the barrel is threaded.

I totally get it. We're right. But that might not be enough to stop a cop from arresting you, a DA from prosecuting you and having to pay a lawyer thousands of dollars all to prove them wrong.
