I read the article. It sounded like poster propaganda.

The left is keying into something though that I think the right could totally flip on their heads. They've spent such a long period shitting in cisgender white males that they need to backpedal.

If the right was smart (they're not, most of the time) they'd absolutely play into this hard. But with the "fuck diversity" angle, I don't think that's going to fly as well as they suspect. The right should play into it as if the left is the party of division, and all people, cisgender included, should be included at the table. They should play the unifier angle.

Still, neither side should assume they're going to get my vote because of any identifying characteristics about me. White dudes for... What the fuck even is that? You want to just lump me into a box, and say this entire box goes to the left or the right? How about you tell me why I should vote for you, and why you're the lesser of both evils?

Largely agree, except you suggest that the intent should be to simply *appear* to be an inclusive, unifying party. If that's what you mean then it's just more cynical politricks, which are a big reason why the USA is broken today.

IMO the only way the "right" is going to move towards true inclusivity is by dropping the religious angle and just being neutral. I haven't really seen that yet. I was never a fan of mixing religion and politics. Same with sex and politics. You just don't do it. It feels wrong when it's done to me appealing to those base instincts.

Once they get away from that, and they become the part of "fiscal responsibility" as their forefront and not "family values" per se, then I can see them pulling more people from the left. Some people want reasonable policy without the flamboyancy of the left, but they don't want to embrace the religious aspects of the right. We need to get past that blocker somehow.

I’m a Christian and I agree with you. I don’t like abortion but it says right in the Bible you can’t hold non-Christian’s to your standards or beliefs. I agree that politics and religion shouldn’t be mixed because our great country’s constitution says we have the freedom of religion so if the republicans are pushing Christian ideals onto others then there is no freedom. I value people’s choice as much as I value my beliefs.

I'm not especially religious, but I think even atheists can agree that murdering babies is wrong and shouldn't be allowed in a civilized society.

I also don't think religion has a lot to say about when a baby first comes into existence.

There are a few outliers like the "every sperm is sacred" crowd, but nobody takes that seriously.

But, "the finish line is at the entrance of the vagina" crowd are just as ridiculous.

The old, old school standard was the quickening. That's probably not that unreasonable, just needs to be more strictly defined.

I believe it’s at conception and I don’t support any abortion at all but I do think for others there is a reasonable timeframe that could be compromised on for the good of society. Me personally I never would have one under any circumstances unless maybe my wife being raped but still. The argument that it’s part of the mother is moot because the kid has different DNA. It’s a touchy topic but I have no issues with birth control. The abortion up until birth is disgusting though

Imagine a world with responsible people... there would never be a need for abortions at the amount that there are, today.

Rape and incest, absolutely 100%, abort it! To bad those who do that couldn`t be found at the end of a rope in the middle of town.

I wouldn't read anything into this, these would have been paid actors in a proganda piece. It's a fact that the democrat party pays people to make pro democrat posts on social media. This was just an extension of that.

I can understand the theory for rape, but I don't agree with the reasoning.

If it's a really baby in there, the baby didn't commit any crime. What other circumstance do we allow murder of a bystander to a crime because their existence is painful to the victim ?

I don`t know what the perfect answer is spat, i really don`t. Maybe if there was a way to predict the crime, before, it happens, we could stop it, we would end up with no victims? This is no different than it is with people who kill with guns. There is always a victim who is paying the price. We have to decide, as humans, what and who, sacrifices. There is always going to be a winner, and there will always be a loser. I dunno, my friend.

There is always the morning after pill too, or so i`ve heard. But the rape or incest girl would have to be taken to the doctor immediately following.
