Why Hornady stopped selling ammunition to Walmart 12 years ago.

NO matter what industry its nice to see a supplier able to make a decision based on a principal rather than the almightly dollar. felt sales was good enough to not have to have them as a customer.

Walmart never had a good ammo selection to begin with. Just expensive hunting ammo and the cut rate bulk stuff at higher than internet prices. I rarely buy retail ammo, the online prices are just to hard to pass up, especially if you shoot by the case. Sometimes Gander outdoors will run good deals, usually on Aguila, and I will partake and every now and again In will see a can of the Hornady American Gunner 55gr HP Match stuff at a good price and I'll snap it up. Was in an Academy Sports once and snapped up a can of that stuff @ $99. The new Frontier 55gr OTMs do just as well for me at half the cost though.
I think that we may be seeing more stories like this down the road. People are getting tired of these stores running their companies through the eyes of their politics.

Used to be able to buy ammo in any small town hardware store, some drug stores, gas stations, and five and dime's. Walmart put them all out of business. Now they won't sell ammo. HuH.
