Ironic that as a law abiding gun owner in NYS I had more rights prior to SCOTUS giving me back my rights.
No sane person wants a mass shooting. We were here until this morning to offer that “chance of survival ” if that unfortunate event ever happened.
But let’s cut the bull shit.
These laws make it easier and it’s not a matter of if but when. And when it happens it will be worse, way worse and happen more often.
There are about 400,000,000 people in the US, 10% minimum are off their rocker and NY is giving them opportunities they have nowhere else.
NY is now the soft target of the country.

I heard Hochul say many times that it’s her and other politicians responsibility to keep us safe so if they fail that’s her take accepting negligence for failing to do so and we should should be able to sue them for monetary gain. This is the problem is politicians have zero liability in what they do, say, or pass. If they had the same liability as we do and companies do maybe they would think differently. Maybe not.
This really aggravates me and I feel the
same as Doc Evil that I have less rights now so a few assholes in NYC can get a carry permit. Yes I feel bad they we’re screwed in the past but I’m sure not much will change with the moral character clause. Yes maybe a few more will get full carry permits, but think of how difficult it will be for them to get the training required to get this? Also the cost will be prohibitive to most in NYC.

At this point, a concealed carry permit has been rendered mostly useless in New York State. With all of the "sensitive areas" designated by NYS, in direct rebuke of SCOTUS, it is a felony to carry anywhere except in your home, your car, and maybe your driveway.

I just wanted to give a big shout out to the NYSRPA! Thank You for fighting to restore and keep our second amendment rights, even if it means everyone ends up losing them in the process as a result. 
More importantly, WHY would anyone downstate even consider getting a permit? If specifically speak of NYC and its surrounding counties, the entirety of a permits usefulness is null and void as the entire area is a sensitive place. This is the goal, and alwa has been. To make it as difficult or useless as possible to obtain one, therefore noone will have one.

I was going to say that I would expect to see an uptick in knife training classes, @OnSight Firearms Training .
While the old saying "never bring a knife to a gun fight" has its merit, being good with a bladed weapon can be real important. I need to get some knife training myself.

This is why I've been saying since they did away with lifetime permits and forced everyone into a recert scheme years ago that everyone should throw their permission slip away and refuse to go along with the regime any longer. I guess everyone thought the hoops were reasonable enough to jump through as long as they could carry most places.

I’d bet on more laws and restrictions from ny before the year is up. They won big and will ride this momentum. Sell or move your guns out of state while you can.

This. I would expect any AR pattern rifle to be illegal by years end. I know, I know, I know what the Heller decision said but Bruen also said sensitive places could be what it is today so why would we expect anything different to occur when they make AR/AK pattern rifles illegal. Most will move and sell them out of state or to the state and take a huge loss then never get back into them after years and years of court battles.

Here's a scenario for a plaintiff: Woman who is a sole proprietor of a business who has had a business carry permit. Her business is either in a "gun free zone," like Times Square, or she runs a business that is now in a no-carry category. She relied on her concealed pistol for personal protection during business hours since her business has only one entrance/exit and she could find herself made captive in her business by someone stronger than herself.

Unfortunately I would have to say that normally your plaintiff (dozens of them) would have to be robbed, raped or murdered for any change to come to this law to protect her.
But as with bail reform NYS has no problem with people like her dying and letting it ride. Even better if she is raped and become pregnant then they can abort the baby too. Too much winning today if you are evil.

Yeah, concealed is concealed and you can go about carrying anywhere you wish.But whats the point, if you have to use it you will be prosecuted as a felon.
The comment was in reference to an earlier post regarding 1 persons wish to obtain a permit, hence the lawsuit. If there were any hope of obtaining one with the Bruen decision downstate then, it is certainly squashed with the restrictions put in place now.
Hell, felons do it daily anyway.
Do you have any case law to back that up.. or are you feeding into NYs fear mongering to help prevent others from exercising their natural rights of self defense
