That is what I am using, i don't put much Dawn in the tub but it foams really well.
I use simple green in my ultra sonic cleaner. I am only using it for cleaning gun parts anymore.
You should try any of the automotive wash and waxes. If you think your brass shines now it will be night and day better with that soap. Plus it has the added bonus of providing enough wax to provide some lubrication effect. You still need regular lube for rifle brass but it makes pistol glide through a carbide sizer.
Edit: I forgot with the wash and wax you need to rise with cold water to set the wax.
That and Lemi-shine, or it alone?
Yes both. The wash and wax soap and Lemi-shine. For my small Hornday ultrasonic I use one glug of soap(probably about a table spoon) and a pinch of Lemi-shine.

I'm jealous I have yet to make to jump.
Cleaned 1500 cases in les time than it took to do 300 before.
I ultrasonic clean now. It's fast but it doesn't leave the cases as shiny pin tumbling. I take pride in my ammo so I like it shiny even though it's pointless.
I save the ultrasonics for gun parts now.
What solution do you use I haven't used mine in that fashion yet.

Yeah about 2 ounces of simple green the rest distilled water. No I haven't tried the wash and wax yet. Dawn and lemishine works just fine for now.

I've been reloading a lot of 9mm lately.
Just added a case feeder to my 550 and am running out of 9mm components at an alarming rate now.
Loaded another thousand 9mm during yesterdays storm and can't shoot squat because the road to my range is inaccessible.
I guess I'll have to set the press up to load another caliber and pray for some Global warming !

How's the case feeder working for you? I run a 550 and I'm considering adding one. Not sure if I want to put more money into the 550 or go for the 650 or possibly the 1050. I wind up shooting a ton of pistol calibers during a year and I am having trouble keeping up with the volume.

I've had my 550 since the late 80's and it's like another appendage now. I bought a 650 and sold it and scaled down to a SDB in 9mm for doing test loads.
Got a mini Mr bullet feeder when they came out and added the case feeder after getting used to it with the 650. That's about the only thing I liked about the 650. I didn't like the auto indexing of the 650 if issues arose during the process. I can control the 550 better and can crank out around 800 rounds an hour, if I need to, but cranking out rounds adds up to mishaps and I don't like mishaps.
If you get the case feeder and bigger mr bullet feeder for the 550, your going to be loading rounds in the 650 range.
I usually load the primer and bullet tubes the night before and crank out 200 rounds a night.
I've set up many Dillon machines for friends and shooting teammates.
If you want to go all out, the 1050 with a bullet feeder is the way to go. You can also add an auto drive in the future.
You can crank out over 1,000 rounds and hour with the bullet feeder and everything preloaded.
Changing to different calibers isn't as easy with the 1050 as the 550 or 650, but it's not like your going to load a couple hundred rounds after you change calibers.
I had the Dillon primer tube filler, but sold it and am in the process of getting a PAL filler after trying one at a friends last week.
I have a vibra prime, but it's very finicky with certain primers and the PAL unit blows it and the dillon away, no matter what primer is used.

55 grain, 75 grain, 80 grain and 90 grain 223 round. Everything except the 55 is loaded 0.010 off the lands.
The more I use the Lyman cyclone wet tumbler with SS pins the better I like it. I should have done this year's ago.

Then I was hoping to start prepping my brass for my new hunting rifle. But before that I wanted to reload some 308 for my bench rifle before I started messing with my dies. I thought I had the brass all prepped but come to find out I was at square one. So I resized and decamped then checked length. Needless to say I needed to trim the brass. So after all that I cleaned them and they are drying. Hopefully I will get to the other brass one night this week.

I Have 3000 pieces of 308 and 223 ready to go ( thanks to @Bullet Guy ). I have 400 pieces of '06 brass to finish trimming so I can load some 135 gr sierras up for the Garand.

You guys put my Hornady Lock & Load Classic to shame! Once I get some grass under my feet I'll see what direction I want to go. My son has two Hornady Progressive presses set up at his place.
All my reloading is done on a single stage. Once you get a procedure down you can crank out some ammo in a hurry. It still doesn't compare to a progressive but it's not god awful slow. My thing is to have plenty of brass and do your brass prep before reloading. There are days where I will work on brass prep and not make any bullets. This is usually when feel like drinking. I love pull the handle on the press and listening to the radio and having a beer.

Prepping the brass was a fun operation, my 5 year old grandson loves depriming the brass. So I can do my Budweisers and observe him being PaPa's bullet making helper. Once deprimed with the Lee Universal Decapper it's off to the tumbler where he dumps the brass in and adds the Simple Green and Brasso Polish Cleaner.
When I take him shooting he helps me pick up brass that others have shot and left laying on the ground. So that puts another connection for him on the shooting sport.
I have been taking him out to shoot 22 lr for over a year now, here shortly I'll move him up to a low recoil center fire so he will have that connection of shooting, collect the brass he shot and reload his own brass for the next trip up to the mountains.
Tonight will be a budweiser night and be some simple reloading stuff with the grandson, What better way to celebrate St.Patricks Day and yes my name happens to be Patrick so it's a good drink & get drunk day for me.

Please don't us brasso as a polish. It weakens your brass and removes some of the good properties of the brass itself. How are you cleaning your brass?
