M390, M4, HXP, cv20, are some of the top steels right now, there are others that escape me at the moment . Very expensive but they have been described by some as " perma sharp".

The premium one is willing to pay for high end steels is directly related to how much one sucks at sharpening. And I really suck at sharpening!

You know though if I had a good system for sharpening faster I totally would.
I like to send my stuff into the Apostle P youtube guy. He'll put on a mirror polish edge that'll split atoms
