Are you suggesting there are quality issues? I'm not aware of any.
Possibly. Only had a magazine problem once and it was with a PMAG. May have been the combination of gun and mag but never quite figured it out.

They are gtg last i knew. At least i hope so. 
I own a bunch of different mags, Magpul included. I have never had any issue with any of the Magpul mags, but I always make sure to buy the ones that have the snap-on cap. It depresses the follower just enough to take all the pressure off the feed lips. I have had other poly mags ( not Magpul ) crack and the feed lips spread apart. I have no problem with Magpul products. That being said, I prefer stainless steel body mags from C-Products. There is, however, a product from Magpul that you should take a hard look at : ( see picture ) these followers replace standard followers in USGI aluminum mags and it makes those mags ultra reliable. I have installed them in all my mags. They fit in most steel mags as well, but may require a tiny bit of modification.

All my mags are metal. I had pmags once and they were great. I just like that the metal mags will fit ANY AR.

The pmag question is tough, because there's a gen2 and gen3. The difference is in how they fail.
Gen2 is brittle but hard to break. Once a feed lip or whatever cracks or bends, it's done. No different than metal. it's difficult to screw it up, but it's game over when you do.
Gen3 is not better, and does not replace Gen2. It is simply a different strategy.
Gen3 is "easier" to break, but it returns to shape and still works.
That's the difference, for those wondering. Both strategies are decent; metal guys will probably prefer gen2. Guys who drop their mags on concrete every week will probably prefer gen3.

I am more than fine using them. I have a boat ton of 30 round mags made by them.

you have to ask yourself do you trust your ammo choice and batch, your extractor quality, your own training and practice, your sling, etc...?
In other words, whatever you are going to use to bet your life into it you need to train with it over and over again to make
sure it functions properly, it is reliable and you are getting some training and practice and you are good at it and this
includes those magazines that, btw, I don't see anything wrong with them like many others.
I am saying all this because we need to worry about professional training and practice as much (or more) as we worry about equipment.

That's why I ask about the mags. The rest is covered or I believe it to be. Time will tell and unfortunately the way things are going it will be sooner than later.
The only problems Ive ever had are with Pmags. The last 2 times Ive been out hunting with the 223 Ive had a 5rnd pmag pinned in. Couldnt get more than 4 rnds in it. Changed it to a metal C products mag and issue disappeared. I understand having problems with them when it comes to 204, even know problem was solved with metal C products mags. The amount of problems besides mine that can be googled is huge. To me,,,,,they are junk.

Honestly I think they're junk. While I do like other Magpul products, I still prefer the old steel GI Mags. The Gen 2 Hex mags are great as well.
PMAGS, were cool when they first came out, but I feel like it's all hype, in retrospect. Same with their AK mags. Prefer the old steel "NYET! NOTHING IS WRONGS WITH MAGS" versions.
