I'm good with protests. But I get skittish with the rioting and violence. Rioting and violence might be necessary at some point, but that's a rough call as to when.
The time is long past due. The time is now.
If they’re rioting for something stupid like Antifa. But this is a good reason. They’re tired of the shit the EU and Marcon is doing to them. It’s ruining them and driving them to bankruptcy. Their freedoms are getting shit on and their country is being destroyed.
You need to be careful of that line of thought. I am certain the antifa crowd feels the same way but in the opposite direction-i.e. riots against tax increases are stupid while their violence is all for a good reason. Who gets to decide what is a good vs. Stupid Reason to riot? Best not to riot at all but to protest peacefully and effect political change via elections.

In 2017, president Macron received over 20 million votes. What he ran on was/is no secret. The people knew what they were getting. They voted what they wanted. The overwhelming majority of the citizens of that pitiful Country what a cleaner environment. They want an end to this Global Warming thing. They scream for and they beg for it.
During the election, citizens were all over the news praising this man as the savor and a fighter; his main purpose to getting elected was to combat Global Warming. Now that these same people realize there is a cost to this fight, now they are pissed off?
Fuck them! Just like here in New York, these poor bastards got exactly what they wanted.

Again. Antifa is rioting because they hate conservatives, they think trump is a racist even though he’s not, fuck, they don’t even know what the hell theyre rioting about half the time! You see it all the time, “what are you out here for today? “Because we hate DT” or “what racist things has trump said?” “Ummm. I can’t think of it on the top of my head”
It’s not just about the taxes that the yellow vest are rioting about. Hey! Remember that time we dumped a shit ton of tea in the Boston harbor because of taxes? I guess we should’ve never protested those taxes!! It wasn’t just taxes that pissed off the colonist and it’s just not taxes pissing off the French.

Their fuel was being taxed at exorbitant rates...with a future increase to an absolutely obscene amount that could only have been conceived to make it impossible for most working-class folks to buy. Their taxes, and their pensions (a la Social Security) are being pilfered to support people coming in who have nothing to offer, are not self sufficient, and burden the society by their mere presence. They have little to no say, as elected politicians do what they want, without regard to the constituency's wishes. To say it's all about global warming is a gross understatement characteristic of our (and apparently their) news media.
A coworker of mine has family in France, and is going there for the holidays. Doesn't seem like a great time, to me, but I don't have family there either. Perhaps the second French Revolution is bubbling under the surface.

I know France because I know people that work and live there. The entire country is unionized and anyone can strike at anytime for any reason. Cops, train conductors, air plane pilots can all strike. They strike for anything and everything. I agree this is probably a good thing. Now imagine if they had guns.
