They will. They will need to be very selective though. If they charge your average person who is just minding their business they are going to have problems. They will have to charge a career criminal or someone committing other crimes.

They tried but the legal system doesn’t work that way in these cases. Had they written an exemption in the law like allowing carry with permission of the church involved, the court might have allowed it.

Yep. If enforcement was selected to someone already involved in criminal activity, the possible constitutional violation might slip under the radar as an additional charge.
I talk to cops who do the random bag screenings at the trains. They see a ton of illegal things ( highly suspect them but don’t see them - wink, wink, nod , nod) because to enforce non weapon or terrorism related crimes at the checks could jeopardize the program.
But some good citizen with a valid permit would be arrested under these laws. And they will enforce these laws if these court challenges do not win.
Will cops actively seek gun arrests at these sensitive/restrictive locations? Not really but some Karen will call the police on someone and the responding officers will have no choice.

Not sure what they said they are enforcing or not enforcing. But it certainly appears they are enforcing training requirements and social media checks. Sensitive locations is crapshoot. Get a heart attack or I th a car accident while carrying in a sensitive location and your toast. Get into a self defensive shootout in a sensitive location your toast. If you’re in the restaurant and your grip is showing when you lean forward the soy girl in the corner may call police and your toast. It’s all bullshit. How long must we wait to get some relief???
Am I still toast when the multimillion dollar settlement hits my bank account for plainly violating my civil rights that were clearly reaffirmed by the Supreme Court? It's not a second class right. Not anymore. It's no different than any other right. Qualified immunity won't apply either. Not when they knowingly violate your civill rights. There is no debate. The court said what the court said. Now is not the time to be fucking with people. The game has changed. It's over.

If they're not enforcing it generally, that by definition means any enforcement would be arbitrary and capricious and the law should be struck for that reason alone.

I'm sure the supreme court is watching this and will jump on it again, second circuit is going to do their best to talk in circles but they cant talk around strict scrutiny. You can hope for a republican wave and they get enough seats to impeach the judges who don't follow the SCOTUS direction.

Because citizens in California are willing to be plaintiffs. Citizens in NYS like to bitch and moan but are unwilling to step up and sue. Citizens in NYS want to sit around and wait for someone else to do something.
when FPC/GOA/SAF put out asking for plaintiffs in various counties in WNY the vast majority of gun owners all gave the same response, “it sounds great but I have work/family obligations/I don’t want my name out in public/I don’t want nys punishing me/I’m too busy to get involved.”
everybody wants to sit around waiting for somebody else to do something. News flash, there may never be somebody else.

All the decisions are lining up in our favor. All Hochul's new bull shit will be thrown out in a couple of years. If we get Zeldin as governor (not likely to sign new gun ban legislation), we'll be in good shape by the end of his first term.

Zeldin getting elected is a big if.
Even if Zeldin gets in, I would say that the insanely anti-gun Demorat pols in both the NY Senate and Assembly are sufficient in number to easily overturn anything he might veto.
Sorry, but NYS is pretty much a lost cause at this point.

In my amateur lawyer interpretation, this is good as it states that one does not have to be arrested to challenge the law. One of the states arguments is “well, nobody has arrested you yet, so you can’t sue.” This motion spells out that the threat of legal consequences is enough grounds to sue. Or at least that’s what I think it says.
