They make a NY compliant 50 AE that is under the weight limit.

I know its obnoxious, over kill, and expensive, but I want one.
Talk me out of it!!
I'm also considering a Prodigy or possibly a Staccato, but I dont really want another 9mm even though those are two very nice guns.
Just to scratch the itch of a hand cannon I was thinking maybe the Taurus...
I'll be in jail for a LONG time before I let any of these perversions ever affect my daughter or dictate my ability to be a proper parent. The government will never have a say in how I care for my child or the morals I wish to instill in my daughter.
As Long as I do completely opposite of what...
Slide came back this morning from Slide Works Engineering, they did a good job. The optic cut is clean, the red dot fits nice and snug with no slop.
The porting and slide cut are also well done and clean.
Anyway...
Here are the new mods installed. The guy who designed these mods is a genius. I love the fact that the bullet feeder doesn't go up/down with the carrier. I stopped using that feature for this very reason. With this mod, it offers much more stability.
Also purchased the primer feeder...
I've pulled every caliber I reload, the largest being 45-70, 308, and 6.5 CM. I haven't had the need to pull 338 LM yet.
Even the most stubborn round it's taken apart in two pull/release of this beast.
Glad my post helped you out :)
I had it mounted to the wall in my apartment, the force of it would shake the section of wall and I would hear rattling behind it. That was enough for me to take it down.
The next spot was on the leg of my workbench which made it VERY annoying to use and rattled...
I already have one, but it was difficult for the longest time finding someone who made a mount for it which I finally found.
It sat in my closet for the longest time because I didn't have a good spot to mount it. The stand from Big Dog Steel worked great and with the modifying I did to the...
More reloading toys. Posted in another thread about my Big Dog Steel FA Pile Driver mount.
Purchased a Lee Auto Drum powder drop just for pistol reloading along with the upgrade kit. Also picked up a Lee Safety Primer for my Classic Single Stage press.
When I eventually purchase another Load...
Finally found a company who makes a mount for the Frankford Arsenal Pile Driver! Since I have all my large reloading tools using the Inline Fabrications Ultramount system, I wanted to do the same for this.
It wasn't that difficult. The mounting points for the BGS mount was 4 points in a...
I have sufficient lighting on my presses, very similar to what's sold on this site.
Actually, I believe this is the site I bought my light for my LLM from.
I have a progressive press already. As I stated earlier I like to do first time loads of a new caliber I am loading on a single stage first for the first batch.
I may look into bullet feeders after I get these mods finished first.
If all goes well, I may just buy another Load master (used) for my rifle reloading and use my current setup as a dedicated handgun reloading station.
I only use my Lee Classic Single Stage for making any match grade ammo and...
My knock off Dremel finally died after years of abuse. Picked up a mini grinder wheel with a dremel attachment from Harbor Freight, got it on sale for $40.
Also, was finally able to source a company (Big Dog Steel) who makes a bench mount for the FA Pile Driver bullet puller.
Also purchased...
Picked up some additional upgrades for my Lee Loadmaster from Etsy today. As Repete said, these things are more of a fix. I never used the priming or case feeder features on my Loadmaster because they were so problematic.
With these "upgrades" I should be able to use these features reliably...
Well @Xae289 and others have said, I forgot to use the expanding die... Now I feel stupid.
Expanded all my remaining clean brass, primed, charged, and loaded all of them.
Amazon delivered my Lee crimp die. I ran all 300 rounds I made today through the crimp die, worked like a charm.
Shot some of my reloads and they worked fine. That being said, I was reloading some more yesterday night and found that three of my reloads had some of the copper jacket sheered slightly.
I did some Googling, found some suggested the mouth be widened slightly. I found it odd that my resizing...
Drop tested all the reloads in the barrel of my Glock 21, no issues slipping in and no, zero friction.
I ran them through the seating die again for food measure.
Odd... Well I did the bullet seating the same way I've done my rifle cartridges. I took a factory load, put it in the seating die.
Put the factory cartridge in, screwed down the bullet seating die, let it the carrier go up to meet tension, lowered the carrier and did a half turn on the bullet...
Thanks for the information. I had no idea that it was imperative to crimp pistol loads. Looks like I'll have to buy crimp die.
Glad I decided to post my pistol load here.
Lee manual 2nd edition says:
HP-38 for 230gr Jacketed Bullets
Starting grains 4.2
Velocity 751
Never exceed 5.3
Velocity 832
Are they just quoting lower to play it safe? I do know that 230gr is rather heavy since my factory rounds are 185gr.
I do have a mess of 45 ACP brass I picked up at...
The length is fine, I ran through all my brass with a trimmer just to make sure. I was on the fence about crimping them. I heard that some you may not need to unless you are using 45 ACP bullet which are .452 in diameter to ensure that the cartridge inserts without issues.
Started a few years ago and quickly dove into the rabbit hole and learned from many people here.
This was my first handgun load.
Been loading:

303 brit
300 win mag

I have a three-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn, so I converted the smallest one into a "gun/hobby room", wife was less than pleased but it keeps all my crap in one place.
I have three presses at the moment, and they all share the Inline Fabrications Ultramount.
Lee Load Master progressive
Lee...
I don't own a case gauge for 45 ACP yet, so I took the striker out of my Glock 21 and checked some at random while I was loading to make sure it would load and eject.
I was going based on what the Lee reloading manual 2nd edition had listed, it said 4.0gr minimum with 5.2gr maximum load, so I...
Got bored so I figured no better time than to start reloading a new caliber.
I've had the dies for quite sometime, recently purchased primers, brass, and bullets. Decided for the first to around, single stage was the way to go.
Made (100) for my first batch.
Assorted once fired brass (small...
Slide is being mailed out today for barrel porting with top window cut and RMR optic cut - used Slide Works Engineering in Texas, $186 for both. Also picked up a Cylee Wolf 2G RDS for $127.79
SwampFox is my budget go to optics, but I keep seeing good reviews about Cylee, so figured I'd try them...
I confirmed this morning with someone in the Licensing Division that the two handgun limit on the CCW has now been removed.
I am waiting to hear what the process is to have all the handguns on my premise to be transposed to my CCW.
Sensitive places was overturned wasn't it?
Also, for anyone who applies, they must give you a valid denial or must approve you within 6 months at the maximum.
When I had to hire a lawyer to draft a letter to NYPD because my CCW was taking almost 10 months, she specifically quoted this in her...
Went to the Oaks show today for some reloading supplies and some ammo, here is my haul.
(500) 45 ACP once fired brass
(500) 45 GAP once fired brass
(500) 230gr 45 caliber FMJ bullets
(1000) Aguila small pistol primers
(3) 50 box of S&B 10mm 180gr FMJ
Also picked up two knives from BNB, I...
Since the article is so vague, with a violation of the NYS VTL and an MVA, does it give the officers cause to search the person's vehicle?
This is based upon IF he wasn't not under the influence or suspected of the afore mentioned.
