No. Definitely not.
l've done some testing and not able to replicate anything like that.
I don't want to freak you out, but I have a strong suspicion you have some browser hijacking malware.
Perhaps you could provide some screenshots. What is the address of this other page that's popping up ...
Just because I'm a stickler for correct information, this has been in the penal law since 1994 (or.. technically just in NY since 2004).
Nothing to do with 'Safe Act'.
Safe act is simply a series of amendments and additions to sections of the NY penal code, but that line is a holdover from the...
Yeah. That's what I said in post #7 that quoted your post. They are considered two separate magazine tubes; of 7 or 10 rounds each (Depending on the model). If you didn't have to manually switch between them, they wouldn't be.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe the NYSP have officially tried to...
Has absolutely nothing to do with semi or not. The law defining "Large capacity ammunition feeding devices" has nothing to do with the law defining "Assault weapon", which is where whether something was semi-auto would matter.
Those shotguns also have nothing to do with it. They get by in NY by...
The text in the law that refers to tubular magazines (within the definition of "Large capacity ammunition feeding device") is , "provided, however, that such term does not include an attached tubular device designed to accept, and capable of operating only with, .22 caliber rimfire ammunition"...
Indeed.
I swear, some people are just begging for bans lately (and as much as we don't like banning anyone, a couple of members have gotten/earned some significant ones.. though to be clear that isn't from this sort of nonsense, but rather the serious bigotry stuff). I don't know what the heck...
So.. I'm a little thrown on this. It 'sounds' like you're talking about things that we'd have no control over, but I'm not 100% certain... I guess.
To start, when you say in your very first line here, "When the new Cloudflare security screen appeared a few days ago", I already don't know what...
Model: WAF 65000 9mm
These are Mec-Gar produced (and labeled) mags, exactly the same as factory (just not in Walther packaging). Exactly the same mags as here on gunmagwarehouse for 37.99 Walther P99 9mm 10-Round Magazine
New in package. (Packaging looks a bit rough around the edges, but fully...
Factory Model: 47104
$32 shipped
Reduced: $30 shipped
Original price tag says $38.95 and looking it up it would seem they do currently sell for that (give or take 20 cents)
Same mags on gunmagwarehouse: FN FNP-9 9mm 10-Round Magazine
I don't have (and have never had) an FNP; I just have lots...
Ah.. well, burst bubble or no, I'm glad you mentioned that. There's a good reason it looks like that, and that's simply because I wasn't putting logos on it or doing anything with the Basic Dark theme at all... because I was under the impression that it wasn't available anymore. So it would look...
This probably isn't really a thing that an 'announcement' needs to be made about, but I'm just so damn pleased about it.
Aaaaall the way back in November I found out that there was an issue where the site logo , specifically only on desktop (non-mobile) Chrome browser, was sometimes being...
Back in 2013, a few of the site staff from the 'old place', including myself, got in sort of close and personal with the.. *ahem*.. a certain other law firm, that was supposed to be working against un-SAFE, before our internal conversations finally turned into, "Oh shit, these people are gun law...
Yeah, besides the security thing, that was the other reason I wanted to know if we had a representative from the firm on the site.
I know I've seen and heard the name mentioned positively here and elsewhere before so I figured it might be taken seriously as a firm that might potentially actually...
Hey folks. Just want to clarify the staff note at the top of this post.
I held back this thread from being visible until I made contact with the poster to determine if he was an official representative of Bellantoni Law Firm or someone who'd joined new to post this information. Turns out it was...
Pretty sure I've got the last one. 22lr on the right in pic #3. It is most likely an old style Mossberg 42 (which has been roughed up and is missing it's own screw thingy and the 'teeth' are chewed up)
https://www.ebay.com/itm/274034289170
Oh... no I guess the screw was a thing, because here appears to be a pic of one with it. I guess the first one I posted is just missing it.
https://www.thefirearmsforum.com/threads/where-can-i-find-a-clip-mag-for-my-savage-sporter-23a.166998/
Ok, I think I've got another one... but, it seems to me maybe someone added that big screw at the bottom of the 22lr mag in pic #5 , beacuse I'm pretty sure it's this.
Savage 23A sporter...
I think the top one is a Remington 760
https://www.gunsinternational.com/guns-for-sale-online/parts---ammo---accessories/clips---magazines---american/remington-760-magazine-30-06--old-style.cfm?gun_id=101687019
I'll have to think a bit more on the others, but immediately I can say the .22lr mag on the left in pic #3 is almost certainly for a Stevens/Savage Mod. 34/35
Edit: Oops, I said 'on the right' initially. I meant the one on the left
So did I (I was due in something like just under 4 months anyway), but I can't say I'm not worried about it being deemed an issue/invalid after the fact due to either not having their training requirement or some other bullshit (change to 3 year cert...who knows.. whatever). I'm very undecided...
The problem there is that it may be too late. If this goes into effect as dated, as in today, as it appears to, then re-certifying right now could be re-certifying without the prerequisite training requirement and end in a denial.
I could be very much mistaken, as I've barely had time to make sense of it, but the way I read it was that current permit holders would all have to take whatever the training before being able to recertify.
That though, if true, is incredibly insidious beyond anything I've seen mentioned here...
The numbers are not published and entirely subject to change at any time. It doesn't actually mean anything in any case.
If someone put any value in post count (and they shouldn't), the actual post count of every member is shown right there in the same place with every post, so the 'caliber'...
Staggering in semi-auto pistol mags is not a good idea. Different types of ammo (bullet shapes, overall lengths.. particularly with case taper, as with 9mm, weights) stacked with each other could potentially lead to feed issues. Adding more possibilities for failures.. well, that's not good...
We've very seriously considered Guinea fowl numerous times. I especially kind of fear ticks because I've had serious and severely life-altering nerve and neuromuscular damage done by long term Lyme disease.
Never got on it here, but many years ago, half my life really, I rented an apartment in...
Do you have a preference between leather or kydex ? OWB or IWB ?
I'm a mostly leather guy, and primarily an OWB carrier, so my suggestions would likely be from leather holster makers I like, and models I know, that I found carried support for that model. Many other members of course have no...
I was curious. Apparently it's this. It's certainly in horrible taste, and it's not funny at all (in my opinion) , but I'm not sure it's something to be making quite as big a deal over as they are. I was expecting something super racist, or at least something along those lines.
What we can say...
The HCC subforum has been a bit dead for a while (not a lot of views on these anymore..like almost none, so if no one's using it then it's not worth posting really), but due to scarcity of ammo I thought this one should be up. This is one I can't be sure they'll honor though. As always, I read...
This is about the calibers you see under usernames based on the user's number of posts. I'd like to add a few in to break it up a bit more.
There is certainly some that could go in between, and I could just plop some in, but I figure maybe some user suggestions are more fun. So, throw me some...
I've seen 'em, yeah. I've thought about it, and wouldn't even feel bad about cutting one, because you're not really losing any silver anyway. That could be great, but they don't make any (that I know of) that have a realistic headstamp. The 45 auto headstamp is kind of a big part of the point...
First thing, kinda funny, you know those guys running scams that PM users ( whole thread about it here: NYGF - Possible scammers in PMs: Very low risk alert, but be aware and let us know. )
One of those rare guys that got through forum sign up (several a day do not) sent one to me for this...
If you notify a staff member about this kind of thing, we'll usually make it a sticky (at least for a while) so that it doesn't get lost and people to whom it may apply are more likely to see it. Since I happened to see it while it was new, I've done so here. Let us know to do stuff like that...
A strange request perhaps, but here it is.
As the title says, I'd like just one or a few (a few would be nice, for screwup insurance) peices of, preferably unfired, 45acp cases; specifically Nickel plated (that's important).
I'm not a reloader; wish I was, but I'm not. I'm also not asking for...
