did she ever passed one?
At this point I think they Dems are creating a Cyborg (Cybernetic Organism) and see they can salvage any parts to make it look like her.
In NY, aside from the AR with adapted stock, Regular AR (for the privileged elite) or M1 semi/Citadel I think the classics are the most popular, some very easy for caliber conversion...
Ruger PC9, PC4
Ruger 40
Marlin Camp
Suomi Converstion
PPSH 41 Converstion
Some AKM type (made to order)
This is like in the late 1800 in the mid west people went back to the saloon got a free shot of whiskey
a new hat and a fake beard and went out and voted again and did the same like 7 or 8 times.
The Late Hugo Chavez did the same thing in Venezuela. I think in the Maracaibo region independent...
The reason might be same caliber, even same magazines and faster projectile speeds with better accuracy.
But everyone has their own reason. I see a reason for a pistol caliber bolt action carbine too.
Yep. there are some very nice standard pressure rounds. I also carry federal in my pocket small pistol.
Another good one is the hornady critical defense for a small pistol. Ballistic results are impressive. I have tried it but not carry it yet.
A +P would not be the best choice for those small...
I got my first 300 whisper (original caliber same as blackout) from JD Jones as soon as it came out. This was long before all the blackout fever and internet marketing mambo jambo.
Great round for subsonic shooting but not too much of practical application. Also in NYS because no suppressors...
Gents,
The 357SIG from a subcompact precisely emulates the 357 magnum out of the same barrel length.
This was the original intention of the caliber to be reliably fed and fired from a modern small frame pistol.
This is about 200 fps faster than the hotest +P+ 9mm of the same grain on the same...
Any training is good and many times better than nothing. Specially if it means something to you.
Nobody will be able to say 100% certain what can help you or not in one specific situation.
In the movies everything looks easy.
The instinct and tactics will take over based on what you do in your regular defensive practices.
If you don't practice then don't engage, hide and might be able to reduce one guy from a blind angle if you can hold the pistol steady w/o shaking.
The biggest...
Not x3 you are right but 1.5 or 2 work ok. Specially because might not be precisely 1.5 or 2. The brain puts that picture together with both eyes open. The stadia/reticle design is also important.
Bottom-line one needs to go and try the scope or at least look through one the same model or...
Wiljr75,
There are scopes with 1.5 an 2 that are perfectly ok for 50 and 25 and even 10 yards.
Also because the advertised magnification might not be precisely 1.5 or x2 as this is arbitrary depending
on how the scope is setup and exit pupile adjusted.
I would say the starting x1 would be the...
Snappo, It is all about trade-offs. If you want to be able to read a newspaper at 200 yards then a target scope with high magnification, parallax adjustment and quality glass will allow you to do that
but you might be around 40oz and a very large tube so might not be the first choice for AR...
For 100 or 200 yards don't need a first focal plane nor paralax adjustment.
I would pick up one with good warranty, good service and from a reputable optics company dedicated to design/make optics and not a retailer selling OEM scopes.
with that much drop and carbines I would stick to something with small footprint yet adjustable and versatile.
What kind of shooting do you do? Past 200 yards, 300 ... 500, Small or large targets?
It is mostly bench shooting or you want something small, lighter and less intrusive?
Would you like...
Penetration is useless if there is no slug and nothing but dust after. So look for a solid bullet. Underwood is a good company. Hot stuff.
The sweet spot is 14" for 9mm. After that it starts loosing speed. .... 357SIG will use the 16 of the std. carbine barrel for a full burn and get 200-300...
I think with compact pistols it makes more sense to compensate with grain vs. speed due to the short
barrel. Not enough barrel to be efficient and as a result more muzzle flash. In this case perhaps the
lighter bullets with even faster powders might give more. But personally for compact or...
If you want brutal speed and horse power in small package, the 357SIG is the ticket.
Make sure you buy full power ammo and not the underpressure ammo many sell.
Not a good one. Some people upgrade the recoil spring and might put a buffer. Sometimes is snake oil or perhaps whatever might feel a bit better to to the shooter.
Preventive maintenance is a good thing one way of another. People train with the +p carry stuff but when shooting a lot people do...
2000 doesn't make any sense for that kind of section.
Don't want sectional density to fall so low. The 115gr +P+ are very flat shooting and perform a lot better.
No need to get outside 115-130gr. Look at critical duty 130 equivalent to 40 cal terminal ballistics.
Also if you like power look at...
Oh one has to register carbines now?
I think if you ask a Ukrainian and a NYC yuppie "what liberty really is" you will get two complete different answers.
Everyone with a brain knows you go shooting first and then you go for some beers not the other way around.
Also there is a distinction...
You should be fine with the 40 cal keeping the load low and given the speed is well below 1,600 fps. FMJs do not have that limit. Plated bullets do.
just some thoughts...
With low charges and short barrels on pistol barrels will not experience high pressures and fast speeds. Most calibers...
A very sad and stupid way to die.
Even projectiles from airguns themselves can kill animals and people.
Education on this and other things can start at a very early age.
Use lead bullet data. A plated bullet is not a FMJ bullet under any circumstances.
The limits in speed, engraving force and other considerations have notthing to do with FMJ.
Beware of books like the popular Lyman's that have outdated information for many cartriges.
Use manufacturing information...
you will be fine.
It is 300 yards and no more than 400 for the M855. The ideal threshold is above 2100fps but never below 1800fps.
Now if you use a 55gr PMC bronze then it should not be more than 200 because as I said there is a difference of up to 300fps or more from
a LC nato load to the PMC...
BTW if one reloads take a alook at the barnes solids. The 62gr are amazing rounds for hunting and defense, includign barriers. But they are expensive. I think they are a great substitute
to the most current tactical ammo. They also sell ammo ready to go but they are way overpriced.
At extended ranges they all suck. At least the larger ones have more momentum and energy and the potential to catch somehing like a magazine, a bone or simply heavy clothing will make them destabilze and tumble.
The 55gr (other than the norinco) is not consistent and at 500 yards is going too...
The US Secret Service train to use cars as weapons. Not just defensively but offensively too.
Imagine all those Assault Cars commuting on a daily basis.
I have some steel for the AKM type but not a big fan of that garbage neither. I like consistency.
I got the MK318 at .70 or so a pop. and got a good amount for a rainy day. They had good discounts for 1,000 value packs. Federal makes it. Lake city plant...
Years ago I spotted a mountain lion in Brighton / Rochester, NY a bit after midnight.
I called animal control and they told me I was crazy.
Two days later I saw in the news people have been spotting them in Letchworth and Herietta.
Apparently they said migrated from the Carolinas and somehow...
M193 is plentiful and affordable but it lacks at extended ranges. It is really Vietnam era technology designed for longer M2 barrels and slower twists.
The only 55gr fmj that is super consistent and does a number on soft targets is the norinco 55gr M193 equivalent that for whatever reason...
ACOG is the hdtv of practical scopes so one cannot go wrong with that. I like the variable magnification so a scope that will take both duties is preferred.
I think some of the 1-6 or 1-8 with large eyepiece adn 4 inch eye relief are hard to beat. On a tighter budget the 2-7 department has some...
I don't see the trouble here. Red-dots are very limiting for fast, long reaching, high power rounds. There is nothing you want to do that it cannot be done with a number of scopes but there are some tradeoffs like always.
I went though some of the same dilemas a long time ago, tried many...
oh I forgot, this also changes a lot with the newest polymer tipped and vld bullets like the TMK and Amax lines.
IMO the 75gr amax is a great balance between bullet length, ballistic performance and terminal performance.
There is little point in the 77gr smk with all those around. The only...
There is a substantial difference from modern carbines to national match barrels.
There is also a big difference between ammo brands. A 55gr PMC bronce is 300fps slower (or more) than a LC nato XM193. Russian steel rounds are also pretty inconsistent.
At 100yards it is going to be a minor 1/2"...
I know that SH guy is a tool. He destroyed the SH and created a QVC channel for firearms.
All I tried to represent is that:
The actions are very tight yet smooth.
The trigger is really a timmey and as good as any aftermarket match trigger
Bolt release where it should be from factory.
Very...
