The case was dismissed “without prejudice” on 9/1. “Without prejudice” means that the plaintiffs may file an amended case by a set date (10/3). If this is done, the judge will treat the amended filing as a new case. The plaintiffs did file an amended case on 10/3.
The judge reviewed the amended...
Actually, I am optimistic as the court is not dismissing the filing out-of-hand. The court is, instead directing the plaintiffs to get the filing correct. This may mean that the court does not want to waste its’ time hearting a flawed filing by the plaintiffs. READ the Frey filing, it is pretty...
My EDC is a Sig P365 with a Holosun 507K on it (slide milled). My main training gun is a Sig P320 with a DPP on it (slide milled). I have been shooting these guns in the stated configurations since May ‘20; absolutely no issues and probably 1K rounds through the P365 and 2.5K rounds through...
Typical weather for Burlington Flats in November. If not cold, it will always be windy. Ben did an excellent job teaching the class. Jeff and I have been trying to lure him to the Central Leatherstocking Region for a couple of years; glad he finally made it! Looking forward to more classes...
His class is really, really an eye opener. When he starts talking about ergonomics and grip, you are likely to say “WTF!” Trust me, it works. His grip technique is totally contrary to anything else I have ever learned. Plus, Scott is a great guy. Go to dinner with him, just do NOT order an IPA!
Did a 2 day red dot class at Ridgeline Training in Dalton, NH with Scott Jedlinski of “Modern Samurai Project” on 9/11 and 9/12. Shooting from 3 yards out to 25 yards on a 10 yard zero, approximately 600-700 rounds for the two days. “Jedi” is a master of the red dot. He has the contract to...
I have two pistols with red dots: a P320 with a deltapoint pro and a P365 with a Holosun 507K. Approximately 1000 rounds through the P320 and 50 through the P365. Both are accurate and the dots are easy to find and make quick shots with. Very impressed with both.
The P320RX with the Romeo 1 is primarily a range gun/training gun. The P365 with the 507K will be my primary carry. Having said that, I do carry the P320 and the Romeo 1 seems to be more than adequate for the task. I will let you know if any issues appear.
Yes, crossbows are allowed in New York State. Season begins 2 weeks after the start of regular archery season. I have a Scorpio Orion Extreme crossbow. My best friend, my son and I have taken 13 deer over the last 2 seasons with this crossbow.
I have a modern M1 made by action arms (got it with my NRA instructor discount) and have a Burris FF3 mounted on it. Easily shoots 2MOA at 100 yards. Running Buffalo Bore ammo through it, sits in the den easily accessible to the front door. One of my home defense guns.
The PCC is also just a lot of fun! I have modded mine with some Midwest Industries furniture; just did not like the standard plastic furniture. Ruger now makes the PCC with different Furniture and also in 40S&W.
I have a 1-6 Burris scope on mine. I used it for a carbine class last October...
Aging eyes...best friend and I have decided to put red dots on most of our carry pistols. He has a Sig 226 (357 Sig) with a slide milled for a Holosun 508T with the green reticle and has two 407Ks ordered for a Ruger LC9S pro and for another Sig. The 508T is really nice with the 32 MOA circle...
Then there are the crossbows at the OTHER end of the price spectrum. Was covering the cardiac surgery inpatient unit one Saturday last fall and had my credit card with me. NOT a good idea! A “Scorpyd” crossbow package arrived at my house less than a week later. AWESOME (but EXPENSIVE); my...
