He was probably "on their radar." IE, they failed yet again to do shit other than harass law abiding citizens.
I have considered working part time in one of the big box chains to supplement my income when times have gotten tough, but then when I saw that they restricted employees from carrying even when licensed, I gave up on that idea.
I feel bad for those employees who cannot protect themselves.

Biden et al are making a last minute push to get AW ban passed, speculation is that they will try and attach to the "Respect for Marriage Act" (which has already passed the Senate) and get it through the House before January.
Of course, they know it won't fly because any attachment will require it to go back to the Senate for a re-vote (and there isn't time left in this session to get that done).
At that point they can say "we tried to do something" (to placate their voter base) but with full knowledge that it was kabuki theater from the start.

I find it interesting how the media is all too anxious to post story after story of any death from a shooting but they do their best not to post any story of death related to all of the people dying suddenly. Almost like they are trying to use one for their narrative to their advantage and squash the other.

Sad but true. I see a lot of stressed people in my office, managers topping the list. Some of the half wit clueless management types who are in over their heads with crap rolling downhill from the even more clueless upper management.
Retail management is for the most part a trap for free labor. Couple of my friends are management at Valu Hardware, Lowe's and Cabelas. Upper management expects them to cover the hours for the shortages in hourly people.

Lack of employees all around. This is what the .gov has created. I have spoken about it often, the County department I work for, refuses to hire enough, pay enough or incentivize enough to get people hired or to keep the job.
They just keep forcing the remaining employees to work up to 72 per week. No care from those in leadership positions, cause they go home at the end of their shift.
No wonder why so many are fed up.
My wife works part time at Wegmans, they are so short handed it is not even funny. She usually work 27-32 hours per week, they keep scheduling her for 38-40 hours due to the lack of people.
