.31 a round(prior to rebate) is good for brass case. Most retail outfits have the nerve to charge .50 or even more for LC surplus. I however don't really like any of there XM marked surplus. It's all factory seconds picked out from all different lots and glommed together in a container. The brass is usually pretty dirty and the consistency is sub par. Most other milspec "surplus" shoots better in my rifles and at a lower cost, well at about the same cost of this ammo in the link.
If GGG offered a drum of their excellent M855 I would be quite interested. No fricken idea how I would get it into my apartment though.

I had to edit. I meant to say .31 per round is a good price for brass case. It is. You almost never see brass case go below .30 a round these days.

And up two flights of narrows stairs? That drum has to weigh thousands of pounds. I'd have to get one of the hand carts what has the treads in the back. And the help of a guy whom I wouldn't mind that would hate me forever afterwards.

12,500 rounds is almost 2 years worth of shooting. Would’ve easy to go through a barrel of it.

By my rough calculations the ammo in that drum should weight about 340-350 pounds. Then whatever the drum weighs. Not that bad.
It's gotta weigh more than that.
I mean during a SHTF scenario.

A couple of years ago, Me and a few shooting buddies tried a couple times to get together a group buy for a pallet from freedom munitions but inevitably some folks would drop out.

I calculated for 62 grain instead of 55 grain. This would fit in 11 5o cal ammo cans. That's how I would get them up steps lol.
