While I don't have my W2s and other paperwork yet, I usually use my last paychecks of the year to get a general sense of my refund (I have extra taken out on purpose so I always get a refund; yes I know I'm giving the .gov interest-free loans blahblahblah, better than owing a bunch I wasn't expecting)..
I'm expecting a decent chunk this year, and I expect I'll follow my usual habit of putting a third into savings, a third into 'house emergency fund' and a third to splurge..
With my splurge fund I'm looking at a few different options, as stated in another thread -
Anyone else?

With my splurge fund I'm looking at a few different options, as stated in another thread -
- SIG Sauer P320 Compact Rx
- Another S&W M&P 2.0 to match my current (1 is none etc)
- or I could go for the M&P 2.0 Compact, but I have so many mags and holsters for the fullsize it'd be a pain
- Lots of ammo
- Ruger Pistol-Caliber Carbine (could get this plus another M&P for probably same price as P320 Rx)
- Hudson H9, though the price is more than I'm willing to spend at this time
- SIG P365, though it'll be tough to replace my Shield (and I have a lot of money into my Shield - sights/trigger/holsters)
- Training... however I'm somewhat limited by training in Central NY. Chris @ MDTS is great but to get more/different training I'd have to travel quite far. I'd love to train with Massad Ayoob, Gunsite Academy, or any number of national brands.. but I need a few more years of saving for that.
- Something to be announced at SHOT Show 2018.. though I'm not a fan of being a first adopter.
Anyone else?
