The soil looks dry, but I'm no expert.
Not enough alpha male influence in their life. And the soil does look dry. Lettuce is really sensitive to heat. And beta males.
@BDinPutnam I got a woodchuck I can send your way if you want the lettuce offed
First year ever where I get flowers on pepper plants less than a foot tall.
Should I pinch them off?
Great looking greens ! I’d start eating that romaine if I were you.Lettuces are doing great here. They get plenty of sun. First pic has kale, spinach, bok choy and beets in closer box, romaine, red and green curly lettuce, and rainbow chard in rear box. Second pic has closeup of some romaine and cilantro.
Pretty pleased so far with exception of the aphids we’re battling on the zucchini and squash. I think we’re starting to get ahead of them.

What lettuce? Get those poor things watered and out in the sun. Full sunlight out on the patio will pep them right up.So what's the deal with my weak-ass lettuce? Too much water? Not enough? Pots too big? Pots too small? Too much sun? Not enough sun?

I found similair problems on some of my pepper plants. I only found one aphid and one flea beetle when I inspected the leaves. So I googled the problem and the advice I found was to make up a solution of dish soap, vegetable oil and water and spray everything. So far it seems to have stopped whatever bugs were eating the leaves. Mix 2.5 tablespoons of the Dawn dish soap and 2.5 tablespoons of vegetable oil with 1 gallon of warm soft water. Don't use dish soap that has bleach in it or chlorinated city water.Help!
Found a bunch of holes in broccoli leaves this morning and a couple small green worms. Picked them off but how do I keep them from coming back?

Also my eggplants look sorry with holes as well - no visible worms. Any ideas?

Oh and unless you’re wanting small heads of lettuce I’d put them in larger pots. They need some breathing room.
Looks good. Me to. Enjoy them. I’ve got one batch of strawberries this week then they are done. They lasted about 3 weeks though with some watering. I had a good haul. If I picked more frequently I’d have had double. Slugs and birds got a good bit of them.Walked out back to look at the blackberry patch. Looking good. Should have a ton of ripe blackberries in a week or so.
