So far so good. It’s not so much the long hours, the 7 days a week gets old by September tho. I don’t know how the dairy guys do it 7 days year round.

The dairy guys are also not making anything or at least they weren’t. I hope things have improved for them but with schools not being open not sure it has.

54 jars , wow! We’ve only managed to put up 2 doz. wide mouth quart jars of pickle spears and a half doz.Pint jars of pickled wax beans so far. We can’t keep up with the cukes This year. They are growing like Weeds. Our three Juliet tomato plants are starting to come on strong now too. The bigger varieties of tomatoes are taking their sweet old time however.

We haven’t gotten many tomatoes yet just some cherry tomatoes. We over-planted our beds so we're likely to be overrun when they come in.

Wife planted them nice and orderly as per instructions and we ended up with a bunch of extra plants. I encouraged her to “just throw them in between the others so they don’t go to waste.” Had no idea tomato plants grew like weeds.

We also have Several hot pepper plants that need to be picked this weekend and pickle the peppers. Jalapeños, Serano, hot cherry , hot Portuguese and Cubenella. It’s gonna be a busy weekend!

This is my third and last haul for this evening. I’ve only got 7 quart jars left. We have a nice variety of peppers ripening nicely with three times as many yet to ripen.
hot cherry’s , green & red, hot Portuguese green & red , serranos and jalapeños.

Guesstimate- I'm curious as to the square footage you have under cultivation? Definitely thinking of building out some beds this fall to compliment the keyhole...

Unless we put tents or something on the broccoli next year I may not grow it. The crowns are full of worms. Way too much time to clean them out.

I’ve probably got around 150 sq,ft. Of various raised bed boxes. I’ll be knocking together another 3’x 8’ x 8” box soon for strawberries next spring.

Wow 7k plants in 2.5 acres. I just talked with a farmer the other day that has just over 50 acres of tomatoes. I was surprise to see how many boxes and pallets he had so I asked what he was planting.
Farmers amaze me!! Especially the small decertified guys that grow 30 different things in 15-20 acres.

Thanks again for what you do farmer Bob. Tough thankless job most of the time!! I hope your kids carry on the tradition.

50 acres of tomatoes is a whole other level.
We raise 40 +\- different crops on 500 acres but only about 200 of that is in produce. The rest is in hay and grain.

It always amazes me you guys can grow that many different crops.
