Are you going to have seed garlic available again this season? I’d like to plant some I think.
Hardneck ?I’ll have some seed pm me in about a week and a half
Yeah I’ll get right on this. I want nothing to do with the government or them knowing nothing about me.

Wait a second… don’t you work for the government? Lol J/KYeah I’ll get right on this. I want nothing to do with the government or them knowing nothing about me.
Yes I do. Now you know why. Just because I take the enemies money doesn’t mean I agree with them.Wait a second… don’t you work for the government? Lol J/K

For whatever reason I love taking money from liberals and buying things they don’t like with it. When I bid a landscaping job and I know they are liberals it gives me a rush because I know I’ll be buying guns or ammo with that money.Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer
I was just busting balls… I have gathered over the years that your a good guy.For whatever reason I love taking money from liberals and buying things they don’t like with it. I took the state job because I had a degree that I had out worked and out earned in the private sector, my current job had no upward movement that I wanted. Any higher and they own you and it’s mandatory 50/week. Every other place wanted a degree I didn’t have and was two steps above the one I had. With the government job it opened a lot of doors and I started at the bottom. After only a few years I’m making what I made in the private sector after 16 years. The first year was tough taking an $18,000 pay cut. My boss is great and all that I work with are very conservative so it’s nice. The one supervisor takes hunting trips all the time.
I also get a retirement, have better health insurance, and I get to spend more time with my wife and kids. It was a good move all around. I treat the people I do government business with very fairly and I don’t overstep my boundaries. If it’s not in regulation or it’s not my area I say so. I also have everything in black and white so if they ever have a question I can back up what I’m asking them to do. Yes I ask them and I don’t tell them. I do the best I can.
I have my soil all prepped and ready for next spring. I added about 3 cubic feet off peat moss, a couple bags of compost, some home made compost, a bunch of peach tree leaves still green, and eight litter pans of rabbit poop. I rotlittled it down about 6-8”. I’ll add some more rabbit litter pans and some more leaf material and till one more time before fall. I’m planning to trim my FIL crab apple tree and chip it up so I’ll mix that in as well. I hear mixing wood and leaves together gives good fungus and soil structure.
Nice dark soil and I tripled the size from this year. I’m also building another raised bed in the off season. The bed used to end at the foundation.
Love Italian plums. I could never find any when planting season came around. I grew up eating those. My Italian Aunts always made the best deserts with them! And canned tons of them as prunes.I just ordered a dwarf everbearing Italian plum tree from homedepot for $35.00. It’s bare root so I know it’s 50/0 or slightly better on survival but I can’t normally find plums by me. I love Italian plums so I’m hoping to get a good one. Also they are for zone four and bloom late so the frost won’t get the blooms they say. I’m hopeful and wish me luck.
They have cold hardy figs now that do well in our zone. I forgot the type of tree though.Love Italian plums. I could never find any when planting season came around. I grew up eating those. My Italian Aunts always made the best deserts with them! And canned tons of them as prunes.
I always wanted to grow figs too , but there really isn’t a good cold climate variety for my Zone.
I like the price for sure.Unfortunately I’m not too sure that there is enough time in my zone for it to properly establish before we get more hard frost and constant cold temps. They have cold hardy figs now that do well in our zone. I forgot the type of tree though.
Yes I love Italian plums as well. I thought this was really cool that it’s ever bearing and ripens over a few months. HD says they have a bunch and for $35 it’s worth the risk IMO
I thought late fall was a good time to plant bare root trees? Maybe I’m wrong but that’s why I ordered it. The roots will grow over winter and all the food the plant needs should be stored down in the roots by this time and it should be largely dormant.I like the price for sure.Unfortunately I’m not too sure that there is enough time in my zone for it to properly establish before we get more hard frost and constant cold temps.
We bought 2 fig trees over the summer. Got them from a guy in town who is really into figs. Like really, really into figs. We were at his place for over 2 hours while he talked all about fig trees when we went to get ours. They have cold hardy figs now that do well in our zone. I forgot the type of tree though.
