That I have, but swear to god was looking at every available option for better than 2 months like an addiction. Never have I had this much issue making choices.
I think its because the stuff is so expensive. You wanna make damn sure you pick the right gear before you blow hundreds of bucks on it. When I bought my AR it had been a long time since I'd last owned one and the manufacturers of ARs had exploded since then. I spent literally months of intensive research on who was what before I narrowed it down. Proly not that big a deal in either instance in the end really. I'm just a wembler.

Didn't see the tree ornament, but I did see some fine wall art on Amazon. And now I know about Black Spider, so that's helpful. I don't love the look of the minimalist stock, but have seen a lot of them on various guns. Might have to consider it.
So far, I've paid $699 for the complete upper from LWRC, $85 for the Rock River match II trigger, and I'd have to go look, but they no I paid about $40 for a PSA lower parts kit (minus trigger). The MOE grip I got from BG for $15. It's not the right color, but I want to build a second rifle, so I'll use it for now. Also planning on the BG lower, so $115 there. Looks like I'll come in right around $1,000.

I think I've got $700 in mine total, but my BCG and stock were freebies thanks to my nephew having spares. Put some rounds through it today for the first time and I'm super happy with it. Especially seems I didn't have to spend a couple grand on it. Hopefully paint this weekend and pics in my AR thread to follow.
I've built a couple of match grade 3-Gun ARs and a couple of dirt cheap utility guns. If you do it it right with reasonably good components then the $600-700 utilities shoot nearly as well as the $1500-2000 guns... with the cheaper build you'll get larger groups, not as efficient handling, more recoil, worse optics. But they're still light, accurate, and fun rifles.
Where most people go wrong is spending $600-700 on some name brand price point gun thinking that the Colt or M&P nameplate will make it shoot better. Not, these are total rip-offs. Way better to spend the same money on a DIY build.
Both guys in the video spent foolishly on fancy bolts and red dots, especially the $3k dude.

lol..my red dot cost more that any of my other parts 
I went simple, Anderson upper and lower, Anderson buffer kit, and Radical Firearms barrel. I can't wait to let some heavier bullets run threw it. 1:7 twist but the only thing I had was 55g.
