A bayonet for a .50 would have to be a giant 2 handed sword like a claymore....They really need a bayonet lug on those rifles.
I like the concept of those rifles, but I would be missing the magazine. My buddy brought his 50 over for me to check out. Might have to pick one up View attachment 8930
If you read the whole thread, you'll find that the people talking about a hammer were talking out their ass.haha He used a hammer to close the bolt on a 50cal. Sorry no sympathy here.
The third video down from the top is a former member of that "other" ny gun forum. I know that Barrett well, i sold it to him.Shoulder firing 50 cal rifles (read: something I don't want to do):
I only read the first page. So if that is true what was the cause of the failure? If you read the whole thread, you'll find that the people talking about a hammer were talking out their ass.
BMG's are loud as hell outdoors, you might get off one shot indoors before you are shown the door. Yeah, i agree, funny as ever.I think it would be funny to show up at an indoor range with one of those.
Ummm....why?
... bought the Serbu semi before the SAFE act came into effect, as I could make it SAFE compliant and it's probably the only SAFE compliant semi auto 50bmg in NY state right now...

Considering the fact that a 50bmg round contains about as much explosive as a hand grenade, I'd say so.The more I read on that it appears to be an out of battery ignition. If this is the case I say that rifle did an excellent job at saving the shooters life.
practical or not ... guns are like boobs .. big or small .. there all fun to play with ,...
The Firing Pin in Bergen, NY, just outside Rochester, has an indoor backstop that they say will take up to a .50 BMG. And the range is only 25 meters long...I think it would be funny to show up at an indoor range with one of those.
