I can’t afford one lol. I do plan on getting one someday.I'm glad I'm not the only 50bmg nut in NY !
Where in NY/PA/VT to shoot this long range?I'm glad I'm not the only 50bmg nut in NY !
That's the thing with 50Bmg's, where to shoot it ?
Most ranges don't allow the 50Bmg, so you'll need to find a range that does, a piece of land to shoot it, or Join the FCSA and shoot at a 1,000 yard match in PA.
Reloading would be the cheapest bet, if your shooting in competition or have a belt fed.
FMJ ammo is relatively cheap now a days, so most new shooters just buy their ammo and save the brass to load later, if they catch the 50 bug.
There's an internet vendor that specializes in .50 ammo: 50 BMG Ammo Supply - 50 cal Ammunition for the rifle and machinegun" I have bought some from Targetsports too, but I find that many of the vendors are out of stock of the cheaper ammo. 50bmgsupply seems to have a good variety of different type of ammo.
Target sports is the usual place to buy, as they have no issues shipping to NY.
Friends have found some at gun shows too, but you need to check the dates on them, as some might have corrosive primers.
