9mm build time!

So, I started to talk about this over at the NYGF lower build thread because I had bought the Torkmag Glock magwell adapter and installed it in the NYGF lower and had gotten a Ballistic Advantage bbl.
I was figuring to use the NYGF lower with the adapter until I could save up for a dedicated Glock lower and strip the upper I threw together on that 5.56 build and use the applicable parts for the 9mm upper.
As it turned out @Bullet Guy had a deal for me on a dedicated lower so I am going to go with that. I have ideas about where I want this build to go, but I am trying to balance having the build I want with having a working PCC ASAP. So this will be an evolving build that will start with the basics and as money allows, move toward a more ideal set up. This is what I have either planned or bought/have already.

The YHM one is meant for a gas system.
I would also be running an older Primary Arms red dot on it. I would eventually like to put a Holosun 503c
on it- Holosun Paralow HS503C Circle Dot Sight , Color: Black, 32% Off — Free Two Day Shipping

Random question, and @Bullet Guy might know the answer to this, but if you physically mill your own receiver, do you have to serialize it in NY? I know federally you only require a serial if you go to transfer or sell the firearm. Not sure if NY requires serialization, or registration, when you build your own receivers though.

I don't have the equip personally, so I'll probably just buy a receiver from @Bullet Guy like you did when I'm ready to do a "fancy" glock.

Fixed mag? Unless there is something I'm not realizing about the build here.

@Celt do you have any gas blow bck issues using a standard upper with the inline charging handle? I've heard it can be an issue.

I don't know for sure yet but just from eyeballing it, it looks like using the Thordsen stock with bulletguy's extended trigger guard would be comfortable.

I went with a Matrix side charging upper. No issues with blow back an IMO the way to go. Also used a blitzkrieg buffer with an Ar10 spring which makes all the difference. Check out the website site for more info. Blitzkrieg Components CTS 9mm AR-15 AKTIVE Buffer

What's with the weaving on the handguard. Are you into macrame now?

You have an 80% AR9 lower? Not sure on the serial issue. Seems it would only matter for handguns here in NY.

Yep. Lone Wolf. It was supposed to be a build but I ended up just buying the completed lower and upper separate.

I got blitzkrieg 9mm active buffer with the .308 spring and it made a world of difference as far as recoil goes.

Yes it is a fixed mag. You can see a little allen bolt going through the mag release lever that secures it.

Nope, It's only had about 250 rounds through it so far but there was no significant blowback that caused me any concern or annoyance. This is an angstadt arms matching set, along with their BCG.

I have 2 9mm builds with them and they really remove the weird recoil impulse in a blowback type rifle. I have a couple in a few 5.56 builds also. You know something works well when they are always sold out.

You do not need to put a serial number on the gun.

Federal law says that you’re not allowed to manufacture your own firearm and sell it.

Well federally yeah, I was just wondering if you knew of any requirement in NY state to serialize and register even if produced by an individual for themselves.

Ah, i see what you mean now. It's a proprietary receiver and they offer it with that magazine release lever and one without a drilled and tapped hole for the Allen bolt. I actually have both, even though you can remove the Allen Bolt in order for the gun to function normally if you are in an area that it is legal to do so. I have the regular lever as well in case the ridiculous laws are ever overturned in this state, or if I move to a free state.

Picked up my lower today. A huge thanks to @bulletguy, it was great to meet you and hang out in your shop for a bit. Great way to spend a FUAC Saturday.
The lower is a Black Creek Precision lower.
It's a sharp looking lower if you ask me.
I did a simple mock up of what the initial build will look like (sorry for the bad lighting and cactus sheets, lol). The upper is still barreled in 5.56 but the 9mm bbl I have is the same profile and length. I want to eventually get the MI 12" handguard and different irons as well as the Holosun red dot.
