Only abortion to me that’s ok is rape or incest. Life begins at conception and a baby is not part of the mother because it has different DNA.
And if they become everyone's problem then the problem gets worse. That which gets rewarded gets repeated. Take care of those 15 million and there will be another 15 million after that. No thanks, I'll pass and take care of my own responsibilities.
And you likely dont like my answers to birth control and abortion policy.
I won't be letting them starve. Their parents will. You are free to exhaust all of your resources to feed them. All I ask is that you don't expect me to join you.
I am fine with your answers and thoughts to both policies. Absolutely no issues at all.

That sounds alot like double talk for increasing taxes to pay for your version of social justice. If that is the case then I absolutely will "get in the way of policy.". And so will plenty of others.

Having debated plenty of liberals I recognize the implicit meaning of certain phrases, especially vague ones like that. So if tax increases aren't your specific form of prevention, what EXACTLY is? You made the assertion, it's up to you to defend it. I'm simply asking you to explain your statement. So, once again - what are these policies that provide an ounce of protection for a pound of cure? I'm genuinely curious.

I have been on assistance for a short time and only used it as I think it was intended to be used. My twins were born 17 weeks premature, in the hospital for >4 months struggling to survive, and eventually came home on oxygen, apnea monitors, and feeding tubes. My wife quit her job to stay full time in the hospital, and take care of them once they came home. They are 13 now - healthy and weird(teenagers) functioning people. They needed a special, expensive formula I could no way afford at the time. WIC covered it and tried to push all the rest of the benefits on my wife which she declined. They even told her to give the bread, milk, cheese, and peanut butter to someone else since we couldn't push it through the feeding tube. She didn't take it and I worked harder to no longer qualify for assistance. We only needed .gov help for a short time and it still makes me feel inadequate, but we only used what we truly needed and got off of it as soon as we could. Paying for formula with a WIC check is fucking embarrassing. Our community helped us as well and there is no way I could ever repay that.
Edit: I don't think I failed my children. I appreciate the help we received when we needed it.

All these decisions should be made by a family and their physician. It is no one else's business, no one's, especially the government. But the politicization of everything in our lives continues, science, schools, the family, and on and on and on, what Hitlary calls 'public policy'. There's a term that should make you cringe every time you hear it, i.e. we're the G and here to help.
Of course this depends on having a society of good and decent people of conscience. Something that has been, and continues to be, slowly taken away from us, now its', let you conscience (government) be your guide, and a new law will make everything all right with the universe.

Wife is pregnant with twins. Doctor asked us if we wanted to spend $500 for a more accurate Downs Syndrome test so we have can discuss our options.
My wife just stared her straight in the eyes and said, "there is only one option. DS or not these babies will be born."
That's my families take, and if the government has to take care of any children i have with D.S. I don't give a shit! I'll just let my kids run for Congress to get an income. It worked for AOC.

Keep in mind these tests are not great. I know a women who was 50 and had kids starting in her 40’s. She married late. They had the test done and showed her daughter would have major issues. They decided to keep her. She is 100% perfect and one of the most beautiful and happy girls you’d ever meet.

I know a few families with kids that have Down syndrome and they love their kids dearly. It can be challenging at times but they kept them. I’m know one lady her first had downs and she had two more healthy/normal/non-downs kids after that. She’s young too. Like low 30’s.

What about the billions of kids far worse off in other countries ?
If I am responsible for some kid in inner city Detroit then why not some kid in some poor African village ?
And if I'm responsible for both, it would be irresponsible to send any more resources to the kid in Detroit (who, lets face it, is doing really really well compared to the African kid). I should be spending all available resources on the kids who need it most.
This subject is one that ticks me off a bit.
We have AMERICAN children starving in the streets, and some are saying fuck them not my problem. Meanwhile we sent over 40 BILLION every year in humanitarian aid to other countries, not a word about it.
The thought of any child in any country living in hunger and neglect bothers me greatly. But, being a patriotic American I believe we should be taking care of our own first!

I pick who is on my side by values and ideology, not geography.

Fact is people in America are only starving due to bad choices for the most part. The welfare mom buys drugs instead of food for example. There is help out there if they want it. No one in America should starve. There are always a few that slip through the cracks but not many.
Now you hit a second nerve of mine.. The generational problems that we face in our country. The policy and programs in our country developed by both parties have been a a complete failure and a waste of resources.
"My own" starts with my family first, my country second, the rest of the world third.
I have no shame that I am a patriotic nationalist.
