So, just to be absolutely clear from the start, this thread IS NOT advocating violence, lawbreaking, or vigilantism against anyone.
The purpose of this thread to is further a rational discussion about the future of the USA in the face of apparent widespread corruption. Clear enough?
As something of a news hound and political junkie, - I have always felt that there was a certain amount of corruption prevalent in our society. I sure as hell have never approved of any of it, but until more recent times, I felt as though our society overall was dealing with it,- at least somewhat.
Now? It is now out there for all to see that the level of corruption and full blown criminal behavior is out of control. Worse yet, is that by and large, the institutions that we have in place to deal with it have themselves become corrupted to the point that I fear our republic is spinning out of control, - if not already lost.
We have a press that not only tolerates it, - but is actively supporting corruption and criminal behavior that they happen to agree with, or that they themselves will benefit from.
The DOJ? The FBI? The IRS? The White House under Obama? Both major political parties? Governors like Cuomo, McAulliffe, and others? The NY Assembly and Senate? Mid level beauracrats in countless government agencies? The list is damn near endless, and yet, nothing is done to remove the cancer that is destroying our society from within. Laws put in place to control it are now routinely ignored by those in power.
Look at just a few corrupt examples that skate off free and clear when their actions demand their removal and incarceration at the least: IRS Commissioner John Koskinen. IRS's Louis Lerner. Cuomo as HUD Secretary. The Clinton's and their entire RICO following (a huge list by itself). The list goes on and on, - and yet, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING is done about it.
There is another thing about it that comes to mind. Think about all of these fuckers, and realize this: is it just my imagination, or are the vast majority of them located in places with massive gun control laws, and almost always protected from the masses by armed escorts and massive privacy and protected spaces? It strikes me that most are not being protected against the odd random nutjob off their meds, but rather against those that they are actively screwing over and would have good reason to fear.
You generally won't find them living in "free states", or being accessible to interaction with members of the public. Rather, they are walled off from the public and protected with their heavily armed security, - whether public or private. And they live in places like NYC, Washington, DC, Chicago, San Francisco, Massachusetts, NJ, MD. It is no coincidence.
It all begs the question: when the institutions that are in place to police it are themselves corrupted and useless, is it time for the people to take action into their own hands to put a stop to it?
When justice can no longer be obtained at the ballot box, or the jury box, or from the institutions put in place to serve and protect the citizens of this country, what comes next?
