About How Much Older Than You Is Your Oldest Gun?

Wow, I had to think about that for a bit and realized I can only come up with a more or less answer as most folks probably will do likewise. Thus the word "about" in the title of this thread.

My oldest gun is an Ortgies Pocket Pistol (aka: Pocket Automatic) in 32 ACP. They were manufactured from 1920-1928 which would make 1925 smack dab in the middle. So, I have to figure it as being from 1925 more or less. That would make it 30 years older than me or make it (not me) 91 going on 92 sometime this year. Since I don't have anything older than that, at least that I can think of right now, I am more or less a modern era gun kind of a guy even if I am a dinosaur from another age.

Remington improved model 6, I'm working and off the top of my head can't recall the date I got that it was made, want to say 1912. So fifty or so years.

my mosin is 1942 , i was born in 65 ... the mossburg 500AT (stamped on the reciever 500AT) my dad gave me sat in the closent for 20 yrs .. after he gave it to me .. i cant find any info on it .. .. have a moss 22lr from the early 60's to mid 60's. i have the plastic fore grip ... that got lost in a boat accident ..

1942 Garand is my oldest. Going by the serial # it was made the same month my mom was born. I thought that was cool as shit.

My Mosin Nagant 91/30 is dated 1942, so it is 47 years older than me. So that makes her 74 years old.

P.S. I bought just before election day and i still have yet to post up the glamour shots here.

I have a pair of 22's, A Winchester 52 pre-A from 1930 that was rebarreled by Arthur Hublek and a Savage Model 19 NRA 50,000 were made between 1919 and 1932. Mine has a mid 40,000 serial #. Now that I think about them, They are over due for a trip to the range!
