Taurus Millennium G2, G2c, G2s or G3. My G2 is included amongst the relatively few semi auto guns I have that has NEVER failed. All of them can be had for less than $300 if you can find them with 10 round magazines.
That's kinda interesting. That 10rd mag bit sucks ass, but I see in .40 they are 10rd anyway.Taurus Millennium G2, G2c, G2s or G3. The G2 and G2c are just a tad bigger than the Glock 43, the G2s is very similar to the Shield, and the G3 would be G19 in sizeThat's kinda interesting. That 10rd mag bit sucks ass, but I see in .40 they are 10rd anyway.
Thinking I might have to check some out. I have pretty big hands, last small handgun I fired slide bit me pretty good. Bled like s stuck pig lmao. Don't remember what model but it was an older Walther. I definitely need something with a bit of a spur on it.
That 6906 is as fat as a brick , I remember when the standard 12 rd. mags were considered “hi cap”Something to consider is that most compact are less then 10rds so you sure want one that you shoot the best with! And want to practice with, My two carry choices that I have are a S&W 6906 thou it is a double stack 10 rd'er and a S&W Shield 9mm both I like to shoot and stay fresh with. The Kel-Tec PF9 and my S&W Bodyguard are better for deep concealment but I don't like shooting them.
Two that were not mentioned are the P3AT, the original Poly pocket Mouse gun ; and another I would mention is the old P38.

Ended at $342Put in a bid for $250 and I wouldn't be surprised if you got it. There are numerous other listings for Shields as well. 1.0 Shields can be had for a bargain and they are excellent guns too.
43 or h ?Will be looking for either a PPS...
Have you held the PPS? I really wanted to like that gun, cuz I love the feel of my PPQ and the grip is very similar, but I found that the PPS grip was too much like the Shield. Too thin side to side for how deep it is if that makes sense.Well a bit of an update. Will be looking for either a PPS or Mossy. My daughter's BF has a Shield and let me fondle it for a bit. Don't like the grip at all. He loves the gun overall but I can't get past the grip.
Sold a boat windshield to cover the cost so I should be good as long as I can find something in stock in a couple weeks.
H? Was thinking either the Mossberg MC1 or Walther PPS.43 or h ?
I haven't handled a PPS yet, don't know anyone who has one. Kinda basing the though off videos I've been watching and their thought of the grip. The thing with the Shield, there's grippy feeling to me. Just handling it, it felt like it wanted to slip free. There's a few other things about it I didn't like, some of which may be because he has very few rounds through it. Maybe it needs a thorough break-in.Have you held the PPS? I'm not really into revelers. I had a snubby for a while, Charter Arms Bulldog Pug, 44special. Shot ok, just don't care for revolvers.have you considered a snub nose 38 special ?
I have the Taurus Ultra Lite,
Charter Arms makes a nice gun, bought the wife one
EEA also has a snub nose, all should come in the $300 - 400 range
The G43 mag usability is a plus I've been liking, sights are Sig.Honestly the only advantage for the MC1 over the PPS is glock interchangeability (ie G43 magazines and iirc uses glock sights) downside its still such a new gun, deff hasn't wowd the community enough since no one really talks about it. But that also means no one is reporting issues..
But with the PPS you have to deal with Walther kinda not really caring about the US market

There's quite a few very positive reviews on YouTube for the MC1.
Matters none to me if Walther cares about this market, they have a great reputation for building solid guns that are very ergonomics friendly and any Walther I've handled has an outstanding trigger right out of the box.
But yeah, aftermarket support is slim though.
Walther makes a PPS M2 that comes with a Shield RMSc red dot if you're interested and can find one. That's probably what I'd go for if I were buying another PPS. Regardless, I'd go with the M2 if only for the much better holster options. The G43 mag usability is a plus I've been liking, sights are Sig.

If you ever find yourself in the Westchester area before you buy, feel free to shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to let you shoot mine.
Honestly, I like the mag release on the original PPS much better. My P99 has the euro mag release. Once I used it a few times it's just more natural to use than a button.
