The hazards of working from home, by myself: too much time alone with my thoughts, lol. I'm sitting here pondering why this post upset me, when most stuff doesn't. Basically, I don't have many real-life friends. I have about as much in common with NJ suburban women as I did with Manhattan-ite women. Not much. So I rely on you misfits for conversation.
Getting criticized for posting too much outside the topic of guns, makes me feel somewhat guilty about posting crap about politics, kids, house building, etc. Then I get cranky because this is my outlet. For whatever insane reason, I like you guys.

What have we learned the last few months on this section of the forum ... That everything is rigged . Folks that cannot vote have been shipped around voting for 50 years ... Is it possible that this is the reason for the safe act ? ... Die hard liberals get elected because of a corrupt process ? A moderate is never elected from the south eastern part of the state . ? Die hards that try to pass gun laws in Albany that causes us to shiver at night ?
Thugs are being employed to disrupt the trump rallies . . A common method of operation ? Take it to the anti gun rallies ... Are these folks being paid also ... Get a big crowd for the press only to find out that they have been paid to protest.

I kind of like the make up this forum and the ability to post on a bunch of different topics. As long as the conversation revolves around guns and the second amendment I'm interested. And I don't mind stopping by the bar once in a while either.

Seems like the real problem is that there's no easy way to search for new posts in all forums but law&politics.
Doesn't a better solution than "I wish people wouldn't talk about politics" seem self-evident? Ask the admins to look into adding a way to easily and quickly display all new, non-politics, posts. There are lots of pre-built extensions for XenForo. Here's an example of one that enables them to add to the toolbar where the "new posts" button is found.
Just seems that there are better solutions to consider before trying to limit the experience of other users.

I totally agree. At this point in time, I dont think that there is enough Political Threads happening here. Damn you @Darth you are slowing down.

Learn to use the forum tools correctly and you wont be bored by what interests many others.
I think the other sub forum's are great and have a lot going on in them. I for one am like a hooker; all over this forum.
A lot of posts are in regards to AK builds, uppers, lowers, middles or what ever the hell you call the parts. I have no interest at all building one but I read everything I can because it makes me a jack of all trades but master of none which is OK by me.
I could complain that I never read anything about .41 magnums or .444 calibers which are my 2 favorites. Sure I can start a thread. But if I dont have anything worth while to ask or say what sense would that make.

Lets face it the voting system in our country is completely out dated. If it was a true democracy it should be Popular vote. Not this electoral crap that was created back in the 1800s . 1 Vote does not change anything accept in the local elections for town mayor ect. You can easily lose the popular vote and still be elected which is Bull. Also its easier to cheat the system. For example if your win by 50.00001% votes in the state or 99.999% you still get the same number of electors. Now in a close race its easy to swing a few thousand fake votes to win that state.

I disagree. If this state had electoral votes by county, NYC wouldn't always dictate the elections of this state.
If you get rid of the electoral college, CA, NY, ect will always dictate the elections.

I disagree. The popular vote is why we have cumhole as governor. Cause nyc has more people. So they control. Popluar vote is dangerous. It would juat come down to ny. Cali. Ma and nj. They would control vased on population.

That's already the deal. Uncle Sam makes laws for each state. Some states get a trillion electors (CA, NY, FL, etc) and some get dick for electors (Alaska gets like 3, LOL). People in those states with like 3 or 4 electors should refuse to conform to anything Uncle Sam tells them to do. It's like taxation without representation.

Wait until USA is all mexican and black. They will own the votes and can dictate that the whites have to become slaves for 200 years so everything is even-steven in the long term. I'm too old to start picking cotton. ;-( And take race out of the equation. Let's say 51% of the population is on welfare. Then as a politician all you have to do is say "the 49% who aren't on welfare have to pay more taxes". You would win the vote handily.
