A top communications manager at Facebook helped Gov. Andrew Cuomo fight sexual misconduct allegations — including by helping leak confidential files about accuser Lindsey Boylan and by participating in regular discussions about Cuomo’s communications strategy, according to the New York attorney general’s bombshell investigation.
Dani Lever — who had worked in Cuomo’s press operation since 2014 but left in August 2020 to join Facebook as a communications manager — played a key role in Cuomo’s communications strategy even while working for Facebook, according to the investigation released Tuesday.
The smear attempt came amid Lever’s broader participation in Cuomo’s defense as part of a “team of advisors from within and outside the Chamber [who] had ongoing and regular discussions about how to respond to the allegations publicly” that also included Cuomo’s CNN host brother Chris, according to the attorney general. Lever’s name appears 25 times in the attorney general’s report.

You are 100% correct about this. I am a fairly new gun owner, boy have i made up for lost time btw, but had i been 4 years ago, i would have absolutely driven the 4 hours to be at that rally. We ALL have to realize that we CAN stop allowing them to slowly erode our rights by combining our voices and strength in numbers. Calling somebody sweetheart is certainly sexual harassment if they interpret it as such. It’s not about your intent it’s how the person takes it. Is it a crime? No, but do it at pretty much any company and there will be consequences.
The point of the article is there is no teeth to any of this therefore nothing to prosecute.

Does anyone remember when Kathy Hochel (sp?) used to pretend to be an avid 2A defender? Rumor has it she used to go around with a revolver strapped to her hip to pander to voters. We’ll see if she takes power. Will she repeal the safe act day 1? Lol. Yea right. The real powers in charge will tap her on the shoulder and thank her for her services and tell her to beat it. cbs news this morning was a huge smear campaign on Cuomo on harassment and retaliation. Also said they will swiftly move to impeach him if he doesn’t resign.

It is telling that despite the report the state AG is not bringing any charges. I don't think that means there is nothing there, but there is probably not enough there for a criminal conviction. I'm not sure a guy who's being generally creepy (that is the assertion of most of the offenses), via hearsay, should be criminally prosecuted. I do absolutely believe he has done a lot of what he's denying and is not fit for office, though.
