He manages de recoil pretty well.
Be better if it was Adam. Now i want to see this Rust movie . Any chance brother Danial Baldwin could finish the **shoot ** for him ?
The man they call Jayne certainly knows how to handle a weapon.Be better if it was Adam.
Pretty sure *he* knows how to handle a gun
True. The man they call Jayne certainly knows how to handle a weapon.
I'm also of the opinion that any of the Baldwin brothers is a better human being than Alec.
Political viewsEdit
Politically, he states that he re-examined his liberal views after being given a copy of David Horowitz's book Radical Son.[8] He now considers himself a "small government conservative libertarian",[9] and has contributed to The Huffington Post.[6]
In late 2015 Baldwin endorsed Ted Cruz for the 2016 United States presidential election via Twitter.[10]
No he thinks cops need to be on every set in charge of the guns.
"Officer, could you check this cocaine for me to see if it's cut with anything dangerous ?"law enforcement of movie sets would be a nightmare for Hollywood , actors and law enforcement. Im sure there is a lot of crimes that take place on movie sets that would crimp actors party habits and put LE in a bad way by not taking action on any observed criminal behavior.
Yeah, we all know that all cops are firearm experts! No insult meant to those few that actually do know there way around a gun.No he thinks cops need to be on every set in charge of the guns.
Don't really need a new firearm. They just need a new barrel with a custom bore/chamber. Basically have an integral blank fire adapter.I learned something interesting today related to this. My organization is filming some instructional/educational videos and today I was working with the videographer and her assistant. The assistant is a younger guy who besides doing small shoots like the one we're working on also does larger productions. In fact, he's working part-time on a movie that is being filmed in Andes, NY right now.
During one the breaks today we started chatting and he told me that this evening the movie he's working on is going to have a big shoot-out scene. I joked that I hope the set wasn't the like one on Rust. He laughed and said that ever since Rust that production and apparently every movie production in the US has been on safety overdrive.
He also said that apparently in New York they have a rule that says you can't use "real" firearms on a movie set. Apparently they have to be actual props. This means they have to be manufactured so that they cannot be chambered with real live ammunition. On his set all the guns will only accept special blank rounds made for these prop guns. He said that they look exactly like Glocks, Single Action Army revolvers, AKs, pretty much any gun you can think of, but they can't be loaded with real ammunition.
He said that one of his good friends is a movie armorer and that since Rust there's been a huge increase on on-set safety for anything firearm or weapon related. He also said that this friend of his has walked off sets before like they did on Rust because safety precautions were not followed. Apparently the lackadaisical use of real firearms on movie sets (again, at least in states where they're allowed) is more common than it's made out to be.
It was a really interesting conversation about his experience using "firearms" on movie sets.
The thing is, there's no need for the overreaction for Hollywood over this. This is the 3rd person to die on a set since The Crow. 3. How many movies have been made in that time? Following proper procedures makes the whole filming process safe. The deaths are a result of NOT following those procedures. Done. End of story. Baldwin (as the producer) is at fault for not ensuring those procedures were followed.I'm still confused about this whole prop gun crap.
When I was in middle school and HS I ran on the track team. Before every race the starter would get the runners to the line and repeat the following, every single time:
RUNNERS, TAKE YOUR MARK.....
BANG
The gun used was a revolver starters pistol. A gun that shot blanks. NEVER, not once did anyone ever get shot by this prop, starters pistol, blank gun, whatever the hell you want to call it. And nobody felt unsafe. There was no need for an armorer or prop master or cop to oversee the handling of this gun.
WTH is wrong with people nowadays.
Sometimes the question gets asked, would you ever want to go back and be a teen again? My answer was always a resounding hell no. I've had to rethink my answer to that question. I want the day and times of my youth to prevail in society, but not necessarily be a teenager again.
